Laundry washing machine with adjustable wash capacity
A wash drum apparatus and method of adjusting the wash capacity for a laundry washing machine. The wash drum may include one or more rear cover inserts that may adjust the wash capacity of the wash drum. The rear cover insert may include one or more impellers. The wash drum may include a rear cover.
LAUNDRY APPLIANCE INCLUDING A FILTERING AGITATOR HAVING AN INTERNAL FLUID PUMPING STRUCTURE
A washing appliance includes a tub positioned within an outer cabinet. A rotating drum rotates within the tub. A fluid flow path directs fluid through the tub and the drum. A rotator selectively rotates relative to the drum to generate at least a toroidal flow of the wash fluid through the drum and a supplemental flow of the wash fluid through a filter assembly positioned within the rotator.
WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE AND AN AGITATOR THEREFOR
A washing machine appliance or agitator may include an impeller base and an extended post. The impeller base may define a rotation axis and include one or more impeller fins and a mating collar. The mating collar may be disposed radially inward from the impeller fins and extend along the rotation axis. The extended post may be removably attached to the impeller base to rotate therewith. The extended post may include a base body, an auger fin, an overmolded bottom bracket, and a connector bolt. The base body may extend between a bottom end proximal to the impeller base and a top end distal to the impeller base. The auger fin may extend radially from the base body. The overmolded bottom bracket may be disposed on the base body. The connector bolt may attach the extended post to the impeller base.
WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE HAVING A REMOVABLE AGITATOR
A washing machine appliance may include a tub, a basket, an impeller base, an extended post, and a connector bar. The basket may be rotatably positioned within the tub. The impeller base may include a mounting face disposed radially inward from one or more impeller fins. The mounting face may include a mounting bracket defining one or more attachment slots. The extended post may be removably attached to the impeller base and include a base body, an auger fin, and a mating face. The base body may define an interior cavity. The auger fin may extend radially from the base body. The mating face may include a mating collar defining one or more attachment rails corresponding to the one or more attachment slots. The connector bar may be selectively received within the interior cavity.
Drum washing machine
A drum washing machine includes a tub; a drum rotatably provided in the tub; an agitator rotatably provided in the drum and having a water spray hole; a driver in transmission connection with the drum via a main shaft, and the main shaft transmitting a torque of the driver to the drum; a planetary gear assembly in transmission connection with the main shaft and the agitator separately, and transmitting the torque of the main shaft to the agitator; a brake linked with the planetary gear assembly, and a water supply device configured to supply water to the agitator.

Laundry treating apparatus
Disclosed is a laundry treating apparatus including a tub for providing therein a space for water to be stored, a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub and providing therein a space for clothes to be stored, wherein the drum includes an open surface for inserting and withdrawing the clothes therethrough and a bottom surface located on an opposite side of the open surface, a pulsator rotatably disposed on the bottom surface and inside the drum, an agitator protruding from the pulsator inside the drum and extending toward the open surface, wherein the agitator is rotatably disposed at a center of the pulsator, and a driver configured to drive at least one of the drum, the pulsator, and the agitator. The pulsator and the agitator may be configured to rotate in opposite directions.
Agitation element for a washing machine appliance
A single action agitation element for a washing machine appliance is provided. The agitation element includes a shaft, a first fin, and a second fin. The first fin and second fin each extend outwardly from the shaft and around the shaft. The first fin extends generally in a first fin plane defining an angle greater than zero with a reference plane of the shaft. By contrast, the second fin extends generally in a second fin plane defining an angle less than zero with the reference plane of the shaft. Such a configuration may more efficiently move clothes or other articles within a wash basket of the washing machine appliance downwardly along a vertical direction during certain washing machine operations.
