INTELLIGENT WASHING MACHINE
Disclosed is an intelligent washing machine. A control method for an intelligent washing machine according to an embodiment of the present invention may: predict a washing machine cycle from user information; control the washing machine according to the predicted washing machine cycle; acquire an image of the inside of the drum by means of a camera while the washing machine is being controlled; predict the contamination level inside the drum by using the acquired image; and perform an additional control operation according to the predicted result. The intelligent washing machine may be linked to an Artificial Intelligence module, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), a robot, an Augmented Reality (AR) device, a virtual reality (VR) device, a device related to a 5G service, or the like.

WASH ARTICLE ENTRAPMENT DETECTION FOR LAUNDRY WASHING MACHINES
A method for detecting entrapment of an article between a laundry machine door and bellows, comprising: identifying a maximum startup motor torque value of the drum motor while accelerating the drum from a stop to a target rotation speed; identifying a maximum operating motor torque value while rotating the drum at the target rotation speed; comparing a difference between the maximum startup motor torque value and the maximum operating motor torque value to a predetermined torque difference value; and terminating operation if the difference exceeds the predetermined torque difference value. A laundry washing machine configured to perform the method is also provided.
WASH ARTICLE ENTRAPMENT DETECTION FOR LAUNDRY WASHING MACHINES
A method for detecting entrapment of an article within a laundry washing machine. The method includes rotating the drum to a target rotation speed, determining a respective drum motor torque value for each rotation, determining a distribution characteristic value of the drum motor torque values, comparing the distribution characteristic value to a predetermined threshold value, performing a correction operation to address an entrapment condition upon determining that the distribution characteristic value is above the predetermined threshold value, and proceeding with the laundry washing cycle upon determining that the distribution characteristic value is below the predetermined threshold value.
Multiple load laundry appliance communication
A laundry system may include a washing machine appliance and a dryer appliance. The washing machine appliance may include a first controller configured to initiate a washing operation. The first controller may be configured store wash control information of a plurality of discrete washing operation occurrences of the washing machine appliance. The dryer appliance may include a second controller in operable communication with the first controller to receive one or more data signals therefrom. The second controller may be configured to initiate a drying operation. The first controller or the second controller may be configured to determine a combined load condition based on the wash control information of the plurality of discrete washing operation occurrences of the washing machine appliance. The second controller may be configured to adjust the drying operation according to the combined load condition.
Laundry treating appliance lint filter
A laundry treating appliance comprising a treating chamber for holding clothes for treatment according to a cycle of operation, a treating chemistry dispenser that forms a housing with a first chamber with a port and a deflector and the dispenser is fluidly coupled to the treating chamber, and an air supply that has an inlet and outlet fluidly coupled to the treating chamber. A liquid bath is defined by a portion of the housing and a retaining wall in the treating chemistry dispenser. A free surface of the bath forms a gap with an edge of the deflector. Air supplied from the treating chamber is exhausted through the port into the first chamber of the treating chemistry dispenser and impinged upon the deflector which deflects the exhausted air through the gap between the bath and the deflector, where the bath removes lint contained within the exhausted air.
AUTONOMOUS LAUNDRY WASHING AND DRYING DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS OF USE
An autonomous system for washing and drying household laundry includes a plurality of autonomous combination washer and dryers each including a perforated drum disposed within a tub mated thereto at a drive end opposite an opening. A first air orifice is disposed through the tub. A detachable door includes a second air orifice configured to receive an air conduit such that air flows through the first and second air orifices during a drying cycle while the door seals the opening. A controller is configured to instruct a drive motor to spin the drum about a spin axis extending between the drive end and the opening. A driven carrier in operable communication with the controller slides along a raised rail disposed adjacent the plurality autonomous combination washer and dryers and retrieves, holds, and reseats a door in an opening of one of the plurality of autonomous combination washer and dryers.
Apparatus and method for treating garments
An apparatus and a method for treating garments are provided. A method, performed by a garment treatment apparatus, of controlling an operation of the garment treatment apparatus includes: establishing wireless communication with a monitoring device placed inside a drum of the garment treatment apparatus; rotating the drum; receiving movement information associated with movement of the monitoring device from the monitoring device during the rotation of the drum; and controlling the rotation of the drum based on the received movement information.
