A filtration system for a laundry treating machine is provided. A filtration agitator extends upwards from an impeller base and defines a generally hollow cylindrical interior, the filtration agitator having one or more water inlets along its perimeter to permit passage of water from a treating chamber into the interior and one or more water outlets along its perimeter to permit passage of the water out of the interior. A removable cylindrical brush assembly is provided, that, when installed to the filtration agitator, extends along the vertical length of the agitator and defines a sequence of filtration elements through which a water flow passes from the water inlets to the water outlets. The water flow is configured to pass over the sequence of filtration elements in a predefined order to remove particulates from the water flow during a wash cycle.

A fabric treating appliance comprising a cabinet defining an interior and having a top wall defining an access opening. A cover movable relative to the cabinet between opened/closed positions to selectively close the access opening. A tub located within the interior and having an upper edge defining an open top, a rotatable basket located within the tub and having an upper edge defining a loading opening. A tank defining a bulk dispensing reservoir positioned in the cabinet, and a timer valve that is fluidly coupled to the bulk dispensing reservoir. A time selector is located on the tank and operably coupled to the timer valve. The time selector has non-time selection indicia such as load amount, liquid volume, or soil level. The timer valve is a mechanical timer valve.

A fabric treating appliance comprising a cabinet defining an interior and having a top wall defining an access opening. A cover movable relative to the cabinet between opened/closed positions to selectively close the access opening. A tub located within the interior and having an upper edge defining an open top, a rotatable basket located within the tub and having an upper edge defining a loading opening. Disclosed is a clothing treatment apparatus. The clothing treatment apparatus of the present disclosure includes: a tub; a drum extending in a cylindrical shape, capable of being opened upward, and rotatably disposed in the tub; a balancer fixed to an upper portion the drum, extending along a circumference of the drum, and providing a channel communicating with an inner space of the drum; and a chamber formed inside the balancer and extending along the balancer. The chamber includes a first chamber forming a lower portion of the chamber, and a second chamber forming an upper portion of the chamber. A width of the first chamber is greater than a width of the second chamber.

Disclosed is a clothing treatment apparatus. The clothing treatment apparatus of the present disclosure includes: a tub; a drum extending in a cylindrical shape, capable of being opened upward, and rotatably disposed in the tub; a balancer fixed to an upper portion the drum, extending along a circumference of the drum, and providing a channel communicating with an inner space of the drum; and a chamber formed inside the balancer and extending along the balancer. The chamber includes a first chamber forming a lower portion of the chamber, and a second chamber forming an upper portion of the chamber. A width of the first chamber is greater than a width of the second chamber.

Disclosed is a clothing treatment apparatus. The clothing treatment apparatus includes: a cabinet; a cylindrical tub provided inside the cabinet to provide a space for storing water and having a width set to be greater than a height thereof; a drum rotatably provided inside the tub; a driver fixed to a bottom surface of the tub, located outside the tub, and rotating the drum; a chamber protruding from the bottom surface of the tub to a bottom surface of the cabinet; and a chamber drain pipe connected to the chamber, wherein the chamber drain pipe extends from a side surface of the chamber in a direction away from a center of the tub.

Disclosed is a clothing treatment apparatus. The clothing treatment apparatus includes: a cabinet; a cylindrical tub provided inside the cabinet to provide a space for storing water and having a width set to be greater than a height thereof; a drum rotatably provided inside the tub; a driver fixed to a bottom surface of the tub, located outside the tub, and rotating the drum; a chamber protruding from the bottom surface of the tub to a bottom surface of the cabinet; and a chamber drain pipe connected to the chamber, wherein the chamber drain pipe extends from a side surface of the chamber in a direction away from a center of the tub.

Disclosed is a laundry treating apparatus including a tub for providing therein a space for water to be stored, a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub and providing therein a space for clothes to be stored, wherein the drum includes an open surface for inserting and withdrawing the clothes therethrough and a bottom surface located on an opposite side of the open surface, a pulsator rotatably disposed on the bottom surface and inside the drum, an agitator protruding from the pulsator inside the drum and extending toward the open surface, wherein the agitator is rotatably disposed at a center of the pulsator, and a driver configured to drive at least one of the drum, the pulsator, and the agitator. The pulsator and the agitator may be configured to rotate in opposite directions.

Disclosed is a laundry treating apparatus including a tub for providing therein a space for water to be stored, a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub and providing therein a space for clothes to be stored, wherein the drum includes an open surface for inserting and withdrawing the clothes therethrough and a bottom surface located on an opposite side of the open surface, a pulsator rotatably disposed on the bottom surface and inside the drum, an agitator protruding from the pulsator inside the drum and extending toward the open surface, wherein the agitator is rotatably disposed at a center of the pulsator, and a driver configured to drive at least one of the drum, the pulsator, and the agitator. The pulsator and the agitator may be configured to rotate in opposite directions.

A method of controlling a laundry treatment apparatus, the method including: determining whether bubbles have been generated in a tub of the laundry treatment apparatus in a state in which a second washing apparatus of the laundry treatment apparatus is operated based on a sequence of operations; and based on a determination that bubbles have been generated, reducing bubbles by (i) adding at least one first operation to the sequence of operations or (ii) replacing at least one second operation of the sequence of operations, is disclosed.
