The porthole (8) has at least one frame (30, 30a, 31), and a glass (32) secured to the at least one frame (30, 30a, 31). The electromechanical lock (12) is configured to be released by applying a force beyond a threshold onto the porthole (8) away from the cabinet (2). The grip-only handle (15) and the first member (13) of the electromechanical lock (12) may be arranged in such a way that, when the porthole (8) is closed, the center of mass of the grip-only handle (15) and the center of mass of the first member (13) of the electromechanical lock (12) are located, with respect to the rotation axis (RR), at different angular positions. The grip-only handle (15b, 15c) may be configured to be alternatively positionable in one of at least two prefixed positions with respect to the frame assembly.

Wall-mounted drum type washing machine

A wall-mounted drum type washing machine includes a rear panel mounted on a wall surface; a tub containing wash water; a box unit coupled to the rear panel and surrounding the tub; and a reinforcement portion connecting the tub and the rear panel and surrounding the tub.

Laundry machine

A laundry machine includes first and second washing units including first and second tubs, respectively. First and second drums are mounted inside the first and second tubs, and first and second drive units drive rotations of the first and second drums around first and second rotational shafts, respectively. The second washing unit is arranged above the first washing unit and has a smaller laundry treating capacity than the first washing unit. The first rotational shaft is not parallel to the second rotational shaft. A first recess projects downward from a rear lower surface of the second tub and is configured to heat wash water in the second tub. A metal plate member is provided on an outside lower surface of the second tub, and partially extends to the rear of the second tub to expose a bottom surface of the first recess.

LAUNDRY TREATING APPLIANCE

A fabric treating appliance for treating an article according to a cycle of operation includes a chassis defining an interior with a tub provided within the interior, the tub at least partially defining a liquid chamber. A drum is provided within the liquid chamber to at least partially define a treating chamber. The drum has a peripheral wall terminating in a front edge and a rear edge, with the front edge defining a front opening. An exoskeleton is provided within the liquid chamber coupling the drum to the chassis.
