A laundry treating appliance may include a front panel with an opening, a door selectively opening and closing the front panel opening, a tub with an opening at least partially aligned with the front panel opening, and a bellows extending between the front panel and the tub at their respective openings. A deflector mounted to the tub extends towards the door and overlies at least a portion of the bellows.

A washing machine having a plurality of washing apparatuses is provided. The washing machine includes a tub, a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub, a discharge member provided in the tub to discharge air in the drum to the outside of the tub, and a cap coupled to the discharge member to prevent water in the drum from being discharged to the outside of the tub through the discharge member.

A washing machine includes a drum rotated about a vertical axis, and opened at a top thereof, a ring-shaped balancer coupled to an upper end of the drum, and a container detachably coupled to the balancer to contain laundry. The container includes a container body opened at a top thereof, and containing the laundry therein, and a plurality of threads protruding from an outer surface of the container body, extending long in a vertical direction, and arranged in a circumferential direction. Each of the threads is formed such that heights from valleys to roofs are gradually increased in a direction from bottom to top. The balancer includes engagement grooves formed on a ring-shaped inner circumference thereof to engage with the plurality of threads.

A washing machine includes a washing barrel, a water collecting device for collecting the discharged water of the washing barrel and a drainage channel. A first drainage outlet is arranged on a lower part of a barrel wall. The drainage channel is arranged on an outer wall of the washing barrel, and communicates with the first drainage outlet, to guide water discharged from the washing barrel to a part below the washing barrel. An upper part of the drainage channel is provided with a water inlet, a lower part is provided with a water outlet. The drainage channel covers the first drainage outlet of the barrel wall in a sealed manner, and the water inlet communicates with the first drainage outlet. The water collecting device comprises a water collecting cavity and a second drainage outlet. The water outlet of the drainage channel, is arranged within the water collecting cavity.

A combination washer/dryer machine has a rotatable drum inside a cabinet. The drum has an external surface. A tub is positioned inside the cabinet. The drum is rotatable in the tub. The tub has an inner surface. A seal extends between the exterior surface of the drum and the inner surface of the tub forming a desired gap during both washing and drying operations and minimizing bypass of drying air during the drying operation.

A laundry treatment apparatus includes a cabinet defining an appearance thereof, a tub disposed in the cabinet, a drum rotatably disposed in the tub, and an air supply unit configured to heat and circulate air in the tub, the air supply unit including a fan duct coupled to an air collection port provided at the tub so as to collect the air in the tub, a heating duct fixed to an upper portion of the tub and coupled to the fan duct so as to heat air supplied from the fan duct and to guide the air in a forward direction of the tub, and a supply duct coupled to the heating duct so as to supply air in a forward direction of the tub.

A washing appliance with an additive dispensing system can include an additive dispenser and an additive tray with an additive conduit extending therebetween. The additive conduit can use a nozzle to deliver additives into a space between a wash drum and a wash basket without applying the additive directly to the exterior of the wash basket.

A washing machine appliance with a wash drum cleaning system. A nozzle located in the cabinet and outside of the wash drum directs fluid at an exterior surface of the wash drum for cleaning. The exterior surface of the wash drum is cleaned as it rotates within the wash tub. The nozzle is positioned to clean a portion of the exterior surface where contaminants may accumulate.

A stator for an appliance motor includes an annular core made up of a metallic plate that is spirally wound into a laminated structure. An overmold extends around the core and further defines an interior section and a bridge section that extends between the core and the interior section. The interior section includes stator fastening portions that are used to attach the stator to a tub. The bridge section includes a first radial structure that extends from the interior section to the core. The bridge section includes a second radial structure that extends from the interior section to the core. The core, the interior section and the first and second radial structures define a toroidal cavity within the bridge section.

A combination washer/dryer machine has a cabinet with a tub and drum positioned in the cabinet. The drum is rotatably positioned in the tub. A heater is secured to the tub. The heater includes a duct to provide heated air from the heater. The duct is coupled with the tub to supply heated air to the drum.
