Washing machine
A compact washing machine capable of improving detergency or reducing a washing time is provided. A drum 30 may be rotatably installed in a tub 20 installed in the inside of a housing 10 in the state in which an opening 12 is toward an opening of the drum 30. A pulsator 40 having a protrusion 45 extending in a radial direction may be rotatably installed on a bottom of the drum 30. During washing operation, a controller 60 may control a driving device 50 to rotate the pulsator 40 and the drum 30 in opposite directions.

A laundry appliance includes a rotating drum that receives laundry to be treated. A motor rotates a drive shaft about a vertical axis and engages the rotating drum at a base. A coupler is disposed within an upper portion of the base and that rests upon the drive shaft to transfer rotational forces from the drive shaft to the drum. A lower portion of the base engages an outer surface of the shaft to resist moment forces that are exerted against the drive shaft in an off-axis direction relative to the vertical axis.

A washing machine includes a dewatering shaft for rotating a washing tub, a drive shaft for rotating a pulsator in the washing tub, a coupler configured to move up and down along the dewatering shaft, a solenoid configured to move the coupler, a coupler guide configured to be rotated by contact with the coupler moving upward and to fix a position the coupler or guide the coupler to move to another position by contact with the coupler, a fixed core that surrounds the solenoid, and a moving core disposed at a perimeter of the coupler and configured to move the coupler by magnetic flux. The moving core is configured to, based on moving upward to the fixed core, maintain a gap defined between the moving core and the fixed core within a set range.

A washing machine includes a dewatering shaft for rotating a washing tub, a drive shaft for rotating a pulsator in the washing tub, a coupler configured to move up and down along the dewatering shaft, a solenoid configured to move the coupler, a coupler guide configured to be rotated by contact with the coupler moving upward and to fix a position the coupler or guide the coupler to move to another position by contact with the coupler, a fixed core that surrounds the solenoid, and a moving core disposed at a perimeter of the coupler and configured to move the coupler by magnetic flux. The moving core is configured to, based on moving upward to the fixed core, maintain a gap defined between the moving core and the fixed core within a set range.
DRUM WASHING MACHINE
A drum washing machine is provided. The drum washing machine includes: an outer tank arranged in a housing; a drum, which is arranged in the outer tank and capable of rotating about a horizontal shaft H; a rotating body, which is arranged at a rear part of the drum, a surface of the rotating body being provided with a projection; and a driving part, configured to drive the drum and the rotating body to coaxially rotate at different rotating speeds. The drum has a baffle arranged on an inner circumferential surface of the drum, which is used as a moving unit configured to move the washings in the drum towards the rotating body. The baffle has gathering surfaces for gathering the washings through a rotation of the drum. The gathering surfaces are inclined so that the side of the rotating body is lagged in a rotation direction of the drum.
DRUM WASHING MACHINE
A drum washing machine is provided. The drum washing machine includes: an outer tank arranged in a housing; a drum, which is arranged in the outer tank and capable of rotating about a horizontal shaft H; a rotating body, which is arranged at a rear part of the drum, a surface of the rotating body being provided with a projection; and a driving part, configured to drive the drum and the rotating body to coaxially rotate at different rotating speeds. The drum has a baffle arranged on an inner circumferential surface of the drum, which is used as a moving unit configured to move the washings in the drum towards the rotating body. The baffle has gathering surfaces for gathering the washings through a rotation of the drum. The gathering surfaces are inclined so that the side of the rotating body is lagged in a rotation direction of the drum.
