A clothes treating apparatus includes a cabinet, a steam generator configured to generate steam, and a solution storing container configured to store a solution. The clothes treating apparatus also includes a steam spraying portion that is coupled to the steam generator and that is configured to spray steam and a solution spraying portion that is coupled to the solution storing container and that is configured to spray the solution. The steam spraying portion is configured to spray steam to control air pressure at the outlet of the solution spraying portion.

An additive supply apparatus includes a cartridge configured to accommodate a liquid additive and discharge the additive through a discharge port thereof, a discharge tube connected to the cartridge and configured to guide the additive discharged from the cartridge, a check valve assembly interposed between the cartridge and the discharge tube and configured to selectively open or close the discharge tube and the discharge port of the cartridge based on a change in pressure, a pump configured to generate the pressure to be provided to the check valve assembly, a pressure tube that connects the pump to the check valve assembly and configured to transmit the pressure to the check valve assembly, and a water supply tube coupled to the discharge tube or the check valve assembly and configured to supply washing water to at least one of the discharge tube or the check valve assembly.

The present disclosure provides an additive supply unit including a cartridge configured to accommodate a liquid additive therein and discharge the additive through a discharge port formed at one side thereof, a discharge tube connected to the cartridge and configured to provide a discharge path for the additive discharged from the cartridge, a check valve assembly interposed between the cartridge and the discharge tube and configured to selectively open or close the discharge tube and the discharge port of the cartridge depending on a change in pressure, a pump configured to generate a pressure to be provided to the check valve assembly, and a pressure tube configured to connect the check valve assembly and the pump and transmit the pressure generated from the pump to the check valve assembly, in which the check valve assembly has one end connected to the cartridge and the other end connected to the discharge tube.

A laundry treating appliance comprising a treating chamber for holding clothes for treatment according to a cycle of operation, a treating chemistry dispenser that forms a housing with a first chamber with a port and a deflector and the dispenser is fluidly coupled to the treating chamber, and an air supply that has an inlet and outlet fluidly coupled to the treating chamber. A liquid bath is defined by a portion of the housing and a retaining wall in the treating chemistry dispenser. A free surface of the bath forms a gap with an edge of the deflector. Air supplied from the treating chamber is exhausted through the port into the first chamber of the treating chemistry dispenser and impinged upon the deflector which deflects the exhausted air through the gap between the bath and the deflector, where the bath removes lint contained within the exhausted air.

A laundry treatment appliance includes a cabinet forming a receiving space therein, a tub provided within the receiving space, and a dispenser assembly provided within the receiving space, the dispenser assembly being in fluid communication with the tub. The dispenser assembly includes a dispenser body coupled to the cabinet and provided adjacent to the tub, a first drawer slidably inserted into the dispenser body along the transverse direction, and a second drawer slidably inserted into the dispenser body along the transverse direction, the second drawer being provided beneath the first drawer along the vertical direction.

A household cleaning appliance having a treating chamber and a non-bulk dispensing system coupled with the treating chamber and having a portion of material configured to be removable wherein the non-bulk dispensing system is configured to receive a removable cartridge containing a treating chemistry when such material is removed.

A system and method of cleaning laundry in a washing vessel. A container is configured to hold a chemical that is granular and suitable for cleaning laundry. A tank receives the chemical from the container and a solvent to form a solution that includes undissolved chemical. The chemical can be an oxidant chemical and the solution can be saturated. A washing vessel that holds laundry is fluidly connected to the tank and a water source. The washing vessel receives the solution with undissolved chemical and another solvent to clean the laundry.

A laundry treating appliance includes a treating chamber provided for receiving laundry for treatment, a controller having a memory in which is stored a set of executable instructions including a set of cycles of operations. The laundry treating appliance also includes a user interface operably coupled with the controller and having a touchscreen configured to provide an input and output function for the controller.

A washing machine includes a tub containing water, a drum disposed rotatably in the tub, the drum receiving laundry and a detergent supply device supplying detergent to the tub, wherein the detergent supply device comprises a plurality of cartridges respectively containing detergent, a pump sucking detergent contained in the plurality of cartridges and a passage switching valve selectively allowing the pump to be fluidly communicated with one of the plurality of cartridges.

A detergent supply device of the washing machine includes a valve housing in communication with a detergent container, a valve housing cap coupled to the valve housing and provided with an opening, a plunger configured to pass through the opening and disposed inside the valve housing to be guided by the valve housing cap, and a sealing configured to surround a circumference of the plunger to selectively open and close the opening according to the movement of the plunger.
