LAUNDRY APPLIANCE DOOR ASSEMBLY
A laundry appliance door assembly with an integrated user interface is adapted to eliminate any visible mechanical fasteners to create an aesthetically smooth appearance. The door assembly includes an inner door assembly to support an inner window, an intermediate door frame that houses the user interface controller, and an outer door screen with embedded touch film. The inner door assembly carries a hinge with wiring harness assembly and the intermediate door frame is adhesively bonded with the inner door assembly to form an intermediate door assembly. The outer door screen includes a touch film adhesively attached to the screen with a roller apparatus of low durometer. The outer door screen is then adhesively bonded to the intermediate door frame to complete the door assembly. The intermediate door frame is adhesively bonded to the front of the inner door assembly along with a hinge cover and a handle cover adhesively bonded to the back of the inner door assembly hides any visible mechanical fasteners of the door assembly.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING A TOUCH FILM TO A COMPOUND CURVED SURFACE
A method of applying a touch film to a rigid surface having a compound curvature includes applying a transparent pressure sensitive adhesive to a facing surface of a touch film, placing the facing surface against the rigid surface, and rolling a roller over the touch film with enough pressure to activate the pressure sensitive adhesive and adhere the touch film to the rigid surface. The roller has an exterior layer of low durometer material to conform to the compound curvature of the rigid surface and to minimize damage to components on the touch film.
Laundry treating appliance and dispenser
The disclosure relates to a laundry treating appliance having a dispenser assembly. The dispenser assembly includes a frame defining an opening, and at least one dispenser container mounted to the frame for movement between extended and retracted positions. A dispenser door is mounted to the frame for movement between closed and opened positions. The dispenser door closes the opening in the closed position and the dispenser door opens the opening in the opened position. The at least one dispenser container is operably coupled to the dispenser door such that movement of the dispenser door between the closed and opened positions effects a corresponding movement of the at least one dispenser container between the retracted and extended positions.
Door latch for a domestic electrical appliance
A door latch for a domestic electrical appliance includes a latch assembly that includes a locking element arranged to be displaceable between an unlocking position and a locking position, and an arresting element which moves from its release position into the arresting position as the door is closed. The arresting element in the arresting position can be locked by means of the locking element against movement into the release position and in the locked state prevents the closed door from opening. The latch assembly further includes an electric switch which, when the door is closed, responds to a movement of the locking element from the unlocking position into the locking position, and a switch auxiliary control member which, as the door is closed, is urged by the closing body from an active position against a restoring spring force into an inactive position.

WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE WITH A DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
A vertical axis washing machine appliance includes a door pivotably mounted to a cabinet. The door includes a frame, an axle and a lever arm. The axle is fixed to the frame, and the lever arm is fixed to the axle. A door lock assembly is operable to lock the door in a closed position. The door lock assembly includes a latch and an actuator that is operable to move the latch between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The latch is engaged with the lever arm of the door when the latch is in the engaged position.
