Powered managed therapeutic support surface system for the treatment of pressure injuries
A pressure injuries therapeutic support surface is illustrated. The surface comprises an integrated system designed for a concurrent physical and psychoneuroimmunological approach over a user, wherein the system comprises one or a plurality of independent fluid-filled main chambers, made of waterproof, flexible, extendable, and elastic material and at least two accessory chambers connected to each main chamber with at least with two free-flow conduits. The system is managed through a powered mechatronic array with its own hardware and software based on microcontrollers for the simultaneous operation of specific multidisciplinary devices.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DEVICES BASED ON ACCUMULATION OF INPUT
An adult toy is configured to communicate with a user device of a human user. Receipt of a plurality of input parameters is accumulated via the user device. In response to the accumulation satisfying a preset condition, the accumulation is stopped and a control signal is sent to actuate the adult toy to perform a series of predefined acts. The series of predefined acts are used to sexually stimulate the human user. The control signal includes one or more control sub-patterns, each of the one or more control sub-patterns being configured by each of the plurality of input parameters.
INFANT TRAINING DEVICES AND METHODS FOR THE USE THEREOF
Infant training devices and methods for the use thereof are disclosed herein. A benefit to the devices and methods herein can be the effective training of an infant to develop the suck-swallow-breathe pattern of nutritive and non-nutritive sucking required for feeding from an infant bottle, or for self-soothing with a pacifier. A further benefit to the devices and methods herein can be providing versatile devices for the use of vibration therapy as an infant training aid for feeding from an infant feeding bottle, or as an infant soothing pacifier.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LASER TREATMENT OF A DERMATOLOGIC CONDITION
Some embodiments are directed to a skin treatment system that contains a laser generating device. A hydrogel patch may include a region, at a first side of the hydrogel patch, to be in contact with a person's skin. The region may contain an adsorbing medium (e.g., carbon black or any other substance that would have a similar effect) that, when receiving a laser beam from the laser generating device, results in Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (“ESWT”) being applied to the person's skin to treat a dermatologic condition such as an epidermal or dermal tissue structure irregularity, cellulite, a stretch mark, a scar, scar-tissue, a hypertrophic scar, an acne scar, etc.
AUTOMATED CARDIAC MASSAGE DEVICE AND METHOD
An automated cardiac massage device has two dynamic, multilayered compressive units oriented to compress the heart using an outer, non-compliant layer which supports an inner layer made of expandable and compressive material configured to contract and expand to facilitate cardiac filling and ejection. The compressive units are attached to a flexible apex member which modulates the shape and position of the two compressive units to provide maximal apposition to the heart while the device remains in use. Barometric pressure sensors may be incorporated on the inner layer of the compressive unit to measure the systolic and filling diastolic pressure within the heart. A third, detachable, phalange arises from the flexible apex member to provide a third station of support for the heart should the configuration of the compressive units require an additional point of support to secure the heart within the apparatus.
Systems, devices, components and methods for triggering or inducing resonance or high amplitude oscillations in a cardiovascular system of a patient
Various embodiments of systems, devices, components, and methods for providing external therapeutic vibration stimulation to a patient are disclosed and described. Therapeutic vibration stimulation is provided to at least one location on or adjacent to a patient's skin (such as through clothing or a layer disposed next to the patient's skin), and is configured to trigger or induce resonance or high amplitude oscillations in a cardiovascular system of the patient. Inducing such resonance can aid in training autonomic reflexes and improve their functioning.
Self-Aligning Mechanisms in Passive and Powered Exoskeletons
An exoskeleton device that includes an artificial joint and a frame member extending from the artificial joint. The frame member is configured for extension over a limb of a user. The exoskeleton device also includes a self-aligning mechanism connected to the frame member. The self-aligning mechanism includes three passive degrees of freedom (pDOF) provided in a prismatic-revolute-revolute (PRR) configuration. The self-aligning mechanism also includes a limb attachment member configured for mechanically coupling to a portion of the limb of the user.
THERAPEUTIC PRESSURE, THERMAL, AND/OR OTHER TREATMENT MODALITY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods described herein include a pressure delivery component that has a pressure applicator configured to selectively apply therapeutic pressure to a treatment portion of a user body, and also includes a thermal delivery component that has a thermal applicator that is a configured to apply thermal treatment to the treatment portion. The thermal applicator may be removably disposable in operative relationship with the pressure delivery component in a use configuration of the treatment delivery component such that the thermal applicator is disposable between the treatment portion and the pressure applicator when the treatment delivery component is disposed on the treatment portion in the use configuration. Moreover, the pressure applicator is operable to apply pressure to the thermal applicator to enhance apposition of the thermal applicator to the treatment portion.
VIBRATION PRODUCING DEVICE WITH SLEEP CYCLE FUNCTION AND TRANSDUCER
A device is described for delivering a therapeutic vibration to a body. The device may include at least two motors in a housing with unbalanced masses coupled to their axles, such that vibration of the masses causes the two motors and housing to vibrate at a beat frequency 80. The motors and housing may be coupled to the body via a platform which places the motors and housings at or near a resonant structure in the body, creating a coupled oscillation between the platform and the body. The vibration may be based on the input signal, such that the system applies the vibration based on the input signal to the user, wherein the signal may be an audio or video signal. The system may be configured to measure and manipulate the flow of cerebral spinal fluid.
Dynamically Controlled Treatment Protocols for Autonomous Treatment Systems
Systems, and methods relate to a medical device receiving a treatment parameter operating point within a first operating region defined by a first set of operating points for which automatic incremental adjustment of a parameter in the current operation is permitted. In an illustrative example, incremental adjustment may use artificial intelligence based on patient feedback and sensor measurement of outcomes. Some exemplary devices may receive a request to alter the current treatment parameter operating point to a second treatment parameter operating point outside the first operating region and in a second operating region in a known safe operation zone, bounded by a known unsafe zone unavailable to the user. In the second operating region, some examples may restrict the step size of incremental adjustments requested by the user. Data may be collected for cloud-based analysis, for example, to facilitate discovery of more effective treatment protocols.
