FLUID INFUSING SYSTEM DRIVEN BY DRYER DRUM
A dryer appliance includes an impeller assembly for drawing a fluid from a reservoir assembly and directing the fluid into a drying chamber to treat articles for drying. The impeller assembly includes a spindle that drives the impeller. The spindle is rotated by a roller which itself is rotated through contact with the dryer appliance's rotating drum. The reservoir assembly is filled with a clothing treatment liquid. Negative pressure generated by operation of the impeller assembly draws fluid from the reservoir through a siphon and the fluid is delivered to a fluid distribution element directed into the drying chamber.
Laundry treating apparatus
A laundry treating apparatus may comprise a cabinet that defines an exterior design; a drum rotatably mounted in the cabinet and configured to accommodate laundry; a drive unit or motor configured to rotate the drum; a hot air supply unit or hot air blower configured to supply high-temperature air to the drum and in communication with the drum; a collection portion or liquid chamber provided to collect water condensed from the drum and in communication with the hot air supply unit; and a drainage pump configured to discharge the water collected in the collection portion outside the cabinet such that the laundry treating apparatus may sense whether the condensate collected in the collection portion is frozen and thaw the frozen condensate. A control method of the laundry treating apparatus may be provided to thaw and operate the laundry treating apparatus.

Supplemental condensate delivery system having a snap-in drain member
A laundry appliance includes a blower for delivering process air through an airflow path that includes a rotating drum. A condensation system has a heat exchanger that dehumidifies process air within a condensing portion of the airflow path to produce a condensate. A residual condensing area of the airflow path is positioned upstream of the heat exchanger. The residual condensing area produces secondary condensate. A primary flow path delivers the condensate from the condensing portion to a sump. A secondary flow path delivers the secondary condensate from the residual condensing area to the sump.

Drum Bypass Control
A seal for a tub/drum assembly has a ring body to secure the seal to the tub/drum assembly. An arm extends from the ring body. The arm reduces a gap between the tub and drum. A mass at an end of the arm. The mass enables the arm to deflect at high drum rotational speeds increasing the gap between the tub and drum during high rotational speed of the drum. Alternatively, the arm is of a material prohibiting substantial deflection so that the gap is maintained at all speeds between the tub and drum without the arm contacting the drum creating high resistance in an airflow path.
Drying Machine With A Sieve In The Drying Circuit
A dryer or combination washer/dryer machine has a drum (12) and a clothes drying circuit (16) recirculates a drying airflow. An inlet (20, 104) and outlet (22, 106) are connected by a conduit (24). A water vapor path (18) includes a sieve (30) and a compressor (32). The sieve (30) is positioned in the conduit (24). The sieve (30) removes water molecules from the drying airflow to reduce relative humidity in the drying airflow. The compressor (32) is coupled with the sieve to draw the water molecules through the sieve into the compressor (32). The compressor (32) heats the water in the water vapor path (18) and passes it to the drum (12). The water condenses in the drum (12) to heat the drum (12) and air within the drum (12) to dry clothes in the drum (12).
Drain system for a laundry appliance
A drain system for a laundry appliance is provided. The laundry appliance may be configured as a clothes dryer having a heat exchanger to cool and condense moisture-laden air received from the laundry drum. The drain system utilizes a drain structure to catch condensate from the heat exchanger and evacuate the condensate to a sump area. A blower and blower channel moves the dry air from the heat exchanger back to the drum. To prevent negative pressure in the blower channel from moving the condensate to the sump area, an air channel between the blower channel and sump area provides air flow communication.
Separation of lint from an exhaust airstream within a laundry appliance
A laundry appliance includes a drum for processing laundry. A blower delivers process air through an airflow path that includes the drum. A lint filter is positioned within the airflow path that separates particulate matter from the process air to define entrapped lint particles. A lint disposal mechanism removes the entrapped lint particles from a surface of the lint filter to define removed lint. A holding compartment receives the removed lint for disposal.
