LAUNDRY FIXTURE HAVING AN ALUMINUM OUTER COVERING FOR REDUCING STATIC ELECTRICITY WITHIN A LAUNDRY APPLIANCE
20230055503 · 2023-02-23 · ·

A laundry fixture for reducing static electricity includes a substrate. An outer covering includes a woven aluminum fabric that is disposed on the substrate to form a three-dimensional shape. The woven aluminum fabric defining a static-reducing portion. A retaining portion is interspersed within the outer covering to form a particulate-capturing portion. The static-reducing portion and the particulate-capturing portion cooperate to define an entire outer surface of the three-dimensional shape. The three-dimensional shape is configured to be placed within a processing space for a laundry appliance to separate particulate material from articles being processed and retain the particulate material during a laundry cycle.

FOREIGN PARTICULATE REMOVAL ASSEMBLY OF A LAUNDRY APPLIANCE

A laundry appliance includes a cabinet, a drum, a housing, a foreign particulate removal assembly, and a blower. The foreign particulate removal assembly includes a first lint filter that defines a plurality of first lint filter openings, a second lint filter that defines a plurality of second lint filter openings that are smaller than the plurality of first lint filter openings, such that the second lint filter is configured to collect foreign particulates that pass through at least one of the plurality of first lint filter openings, and a binding member that couples the first lint filter to the second lint filter. The foreign particulate removal assembly is operable between a collection position and a maintenance position. In the collection position, at least the second lint filter is positioned within the housing. In the maintenance position, the second lint filter is positioned outside of the housing.

A mechanism for transferring processed air in an appliance, such as a dryer or washer/dryer combination or the like, between a tub assembly and an exhaust housing has a flexible duct with an inlet end and an outlet end. The inlet end connects to the tub/drum assembly and the outlet end connects to the exhaust housing. A compressing and expanding member is positioned between the inlet end and the outlet end. The mechanism compressing and/or expanding with movement of the tub/drum assembly during washing and/or drying cycles. At least one of the inlet and outlet ends includes a retaining member to secure the duct with the tub/drum assembly or the exhaust housing.

PET HAIR REMOVAL ASSEMBLY FOR LAUNDRY APPLIANCES

A pet hair removal assembly for a laundry appliance includes a frame having a central support and legs. A cylindrical member is operably coupled to the central support of the frame. The cylindrical member defines recesses within an outer surface of the cylindrical member. A foreign substrate collection member is operably coupled to the cylindrical member. A fastener is positioned proximate each recess that operably couples the foreign substrate collection member with the cylindrical member.

COMBINATION WASHING AND DRYING APPLIANCE HAVING AN AIRFLOW SYSTEM CONTAINED WITHIN AN OUTER TUB

A laundry appliance includes a tub contained within an outer cabinet. A motor assembly is attached to the tub having a first rotor and a second rotor that operate about a common rotational axis. A drum is disposed within the tub and coupled with the first rotor to rotationally operable about the common rotational axis. A blower is coupled to the second rotor and disposed within the tub to rotationally operate about the common rotational axis to deliver process air through an airflow path that includes a processing space defined within the drum. The blower is positioned within a blower housing that is positioned between the tub and the drum.

DRAIN SYSTEM FOR A LAUNDRY APPLIANCE

A drain system for a laundry appliance is provided. The laundry appliance may be configured as a clothes dryer having a heat exchanger to cool and condense moisture-laden air received from the laundry drum. The drain system utilizes a drain structure to catch condensate from the heat exchanger and evacuate the condensate to a sump area. A blower and blower channel moves the dry air from the heat exchanger back to the drum. To prevent negative pressure in the blower channel from moving the condensate to the sump area, an air channel between the blower channel and sump area provides air flow communication.

An electronic device having a display on one side of the device and one or more image sensors on the opposite side of the device captures image data using the one or more image sensors. The display displays a portion of the captured image data on the display and a first graphical object overlaid on the displayed portion of the captured image data. A user gesture is detected using the one or more image sensors. In accordance with a determination that the detected user gesture meets a set of criteria, a position of the graphical object is updated based on the user gesture or is the first graphical object is replaced with a second graphical object. In accordance with a determination that the detected user gesture does not meet a set of criteria, the display of the first graphical object is maintained.

INSULATION PANEL FOR BACK PANEL OF LAUNDRY APPLIANCE
20220341084 · 2022-10-27 · ·

A drying appliance includes an outer cabinet having a back panel. A rotating drum is positioned adjacent to an arcuate recess of the back panel. A blower delivers process air through an airflow path that includes the rotating drum. The airflow path extends through an airway defined within the arcuate recess of the back panel and through a rear wall of the drum. An insulation panel is positioned between the rear wall of the drum and the back panel of the outer cabinet. The insulation panel occupies the arcuate recess and partially surrounds the airway to prevent accumulation of lint within the arcuate recess. The insulation panel is configured to prevent thermal transfer from a processing space within the rotating drum and an area rearward of the back panel.
