A drying air circuit is fluidly coupled to the treating chamber air inlet and to the treating chamber air outlet. A method of operating a pair of laundry appliances is provided. The pair of laundry appliances includes a washing machine appliance and a dryer appliance. The method includes determining a first moisture extraction curve of a spin cycle of the washing machine appliance and determining a second moisture extraction curve of the dryer appliance. The method further includes rotating a basket of the washing machine appliance at an extraction speed for a predetermined period of time. The predetermined period of time is based on the first moisture extraction curve and the second moisture extraction curve.

The present disclosure provides a drying device and a method for controlling same. The drying device of the present disclosure may comprise: a drum; a driving unit; a heater to heat air supplied to the interior of the drum; a communication interface; and a processor that: when a user command for a drying cycle is received, controls the driving unit so as to rotate the drum in a preset pattern; when data generated on a basis of motion of a sensing device is received through the communication interface from at least one sensing device, identifies a sensing device that has a motion corresponding to the preset pattern among the at least one sensing device; and controls the driving unit and the heater so as to perform a drying cycle on the basis of humidity data received through the communication interface from the identified sensing device.

A dryer appliance and sensor assembly are provided. The sensor assembly may include a sensor housing, an appliance sensor, a wireless transmission tag, and a generator. The generator is positioned within the compartment. The drum positions the generator in operable communication with the magnet rail. The appliance sensor may be positioned on the sensor housing. The wireless transmission tag may be positioned within the compartment. The wireless transmission tag may be in communication with the appliance sensor. The wireless tag reader may be in operable communication with the wireless transmission tag.

RESPONSIVE SPIN CYCLE IN A WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE
Washing machine appliances and methods of operating the same are provided. Such methods may include, and/or appliances may be configured for, performing a wash operation on laundry articles received in the wash chamber of the wash basket. After the wash operation, it may be determined that the load of articles is still wet, e.g., that a remaining moisture content of the laundry articles is above a threshold. Based on and in response to determining that the load is still wet, a spin cycle is performed before a beginning of a subsequent wash operation.
