A dryer appliance may include a cabinet, a drum, a heater assembly, a temperature sensor, and a controller. The heater assembly may be in upstream fluid communication with a drying chamber. The temperature sensor may be in upstream fluid communication with the drying chamber. The controller may be in operable communication with the heater assembly and the temperature sensor. The controller may be configured to initiate a test cycle. The test cycle may include activating the heater assembly, detecting a first temperature upstream of the drum at a first moment following activating the heater assembly, detecting a second temperature upstream of the drum at a second moment following the first moment, determining a temperature delta as a difference between the second temperature and the first temperature, comparing the temperature delta to a delta threshold, and initiating an alert message based on comparing the temperature delta to the delta threshold.

A prediction method includes acquisition step, prediction step, determination step, and processing step. In acquisition step, parameters for a drying operation are acquired. In prediction step, based on the acquired parameters, a drying time required for the drying operation is predicted by a first prediction method. In determination step, when the restart of the drying operation is detected while the drying operation is stopped, whether the first prediction method performed in prediction step is applicable is determined. In processing step, when the first prediction method is determined to be applicable, the first prediction method is continued and when the first prediction method is determined not to be applicable, predetermined processing is performed.

Lint filter clogging detection in a dryer appliance based on airflow

A laundry appliance uses a determination of volumetric airflow rate after a steady state condition is reached to determine the accumulation of lint in filter. Based on the determination, various actions can be taken including notifying the user, shutting off the appliance, initiating an automatic cleaning sequence for one or more lint filters, and combinations thereof. One or more temperature sensors, relative humidity sensors, and weight sensors are used to provide measurements for determining the volumetric airflow rate.

INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS

An information processing method includes: selecting M blocks as M selected blocks from among N blocks for driving at least one of an actuator or a heater included in an apparatus, in accordance with an input operation performed by an operator; generating an application by setting, in accordance with an input operation performed by the operator, a parameter for driving the actuator or the heater in each of the M selected blocks; consulting a rule defining a parameter range within which the above-described driving is not permitted, and modifying the application by changing at least one of the M selected blocks, the at least one of the M selected blocks including a parameter included in the parameter range; and outputting the modified application.

A clothing treatment apparatus includes a tub for providing a space in which washing water is accommodated; a drum rotatably provided inside the tub; a motor for rotating the drum; and an induction heater which is arranged on the outer surface of the tub and which heats the drum. The motor can rotate the drum at a first rotational speed at which laundry accommodated inside the drum is rotated while adhered to the inner circumferential surface of the drum, during heating of the drum by the induction heater.

Dryer appliance nuisance trip detection

Dryer appliances and related methods are disclosed. Such methods may include, or such appliances may be configured for, monitoring a temperature with a thermistor of a primary heat control system of the dryer appliance. The present disclosure also includes determining a relay signal is calling to close a relay and thereby activate a heating system of the dryer appliance and verifying that the relay is closed. The present disclosure further includes allowing a minimum relay on time to elapse after verifying that the relay is closed. The present disclosure also includes determining a temperature gradient of the monitored temperature based on a change in the monitored temperature over the minimum relay on time. The present disclosure further includes detecting a nuisance trip because the determined temperature gradient is negative.
