The sensor assembly (21) is also coupled to the system body (30). The sensor assembly (21) is configured to sense at least one ambient environmental condition and generate at least one electronic data signal based on the sensed at least one ambient environmental condition. The controller (46) receives the at least one electronic data signal from the sensor assembly (21) and regulates a level of ozone that is generated by the ozone generator (38) based at least in part on the at least one electronic data signal.

A controller is configured to determine that the water supply valve is open to permit the flow of water into the chamber, identify an anticipated humidity within the chamber based at least in part on the water supply valve being open, obtain the chamber humidity using the humidity sensor, and implementing a responsive action if the chamber humidity does not correspond to the anticipated humidity.

A laundry appliance uses a determination of volumetric airflow rate after a steady state condition is reached to determine the accumulation of lint in filter. Based on the determination, various actions can be taken including notifying the user, shutting off the appliance, initiating an automatic cleaning sequence for one or more lint filters, and combinations thereof. One or more temperature sensors, relative humidity sensors, and weight sensors are used to provide measurements for determining the volumetric airflow rate.
