Washing machine and control method therefor
A washing machine and a control method therefor are disclosed. The washing machine according to the present invention comprises: a drum for receiving laundry; a drying unit for adjusting the temperature of air in the drum so as to dry the laundry; a filter unit for filtering lint generated from the laundry; a cleaning unit for cleaning the filter unit; and a control unit for controlling the cleaning unit such that the filter unit is periodically cleaned during rotation of the drum. Accordingly, the washing machine can reduce the amount of lint generated from laundry during a drying process. Further, the washing machine according to the disclosure periodically cleans a filter for filtering lint generated from laundry, so as to facilitate circulation of air in the drum during a drying process, thereby improving the drying efficiency.
GARMENT DRYERS AND COMPONENTS FOR USE WITHIN GARMENT DRYERS
A garment dryer may include a vehicle mounting arrangement (e.g., a cup holder insert, a magnet, an eyelet, a docking station) such that the garment dryer may be maintained in an upright orientation while an associated vehicle is accelerating, turning, traveling over bumps, decelerating, etc. A garment dryer may include an internal air plenum for ducting air from an air blower through a heating element toward air outlets. A garment dryer may include an automatic controller.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING LAUNDRY TREATMENT APPARATUS
A method controls a laundry treatment apparatus that includes a drum in which a target object to be dried is put, a drum motor to drive the drum, an air duct to guide air into the drum, a heat pump provided in the air duct to dehumidify and heat the air, a blower fan to move the air of the air duct, and a blower motor to drive the blower fan. The method includes a drum driving step for repeatedly driving the drum by accelerating and decelerating the drum, a steam supply step for supplying or stopping steam for a predetermined time during execution of the drum driving step, and an air supply step for circulating internal air of the drum during execution of the drum driving step. The circulation of the internal air of the drum is stopped during execution of the steam supply step.
Positive-negative-rotation fan for clothes dryer, and clothes dryer
A positive-negative-rotation fan for a clothes dryer comprises multiple whole-size fan blades arranged on a periphery of an outer frame of the fan, and multiple half-size fan blades arranged on the periphery of the outer frame of the fan. The half-size fan blades and the whole-size fan blades have similar shapes, and the size of an edge of each half-size fan blade parallel to a radial direction of the fan is half of the size of a corresponding edge of the whole-size fan blade. The clothes dryer using the positive-negative-rotation fan can provide an even and great air volume and a great air intake pressure in a clockwise and counterclockwise alternating rotation process, and accordingly clothes are evenly dried and the drying time is short. By using a flow guide device, aggregated back-flows are not generated between the fan and an outlet of a volute.
Apparatus management system
An apparatus management system is provided which includes a bathroom heating and drying apparatus configured to control an air environment in a bathroom space; and a control terminal connected to the bathroom heating and drying apparatus to transmit and receive information to and from the bathroom heating and drying apparatus. The control terminal includes: condition acquisition unit configured to acquire operation information related to a control condition of the bathroom heating and drying apparatus; control condition determination unit configured to determine the control condition of the bathroom heating and drying apparatus, based on the operation information acquired by the condition acquisition unit; and an operating unit configured to operate the bathroom heating and drying apparatus under the control condition determined by the control condition determination unit.
Tumble dryer and method for drying laundry using a tumble dryer
A tumble dryer has a drum for laundry, a drive motor for the drum, an air supply to the drum and an air discharge from the drum, a fan, including a fan drive, for generating an air stream to the drum through the air supply and away from the drum through the air discharge, and also heating means for heating the air stream. The temperature of and the moisture in the air which is discharged from the drum are detected. The profile of said temperature and moisture is compared with prespecification curves, which are stored in a memory, for the profile of said temperature and moisture by means of calculation means depending on the drying phase of the laundry. The operating point of the prespecification curve at which the drying program is located is determined in this way. The control arrangement influences the further drying program, on the basis of the operating point, by way of adjusting the temperature and/or the intensity of the air stream.
Method for controlling a laundry drying machine
A method for controlling a laundry drying machine having a laundry treating chamber and a control unit which receives a signal indicative of laundry moisture from a moisture sensor. The method includes receiving a user input of a laundry treating program, and, in the machine initialization phase, comparing the laundry moisture indicated by the signal to a first threshold, which is stored in the control unit and is indicative of dried laundry or empty threating chamber. If the signal is determined to be equal or less than the first threshold, one or more of the following actions is performed: carrying out only a portion of the selected laundry treating program; skipping the program main phase; starting the program final phase; stopping the laundry treating program; providing a notification of dried laundry and/or empty treating chamber.
DRYER APPLIANCE AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME BASED ON THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY OF DRUM EXIT AIR
A dryer appliance and a method of operating the same are provided. In one aspect, the dryer appliance includes a drum rotatably mounted within a cabinet. The drum defines a chamber that is in fluid communication with a conditioning system of the dryer appliance. The conditioning system heats air circulating therethrough. A variable speed blower fan is provided to circulate air between the conditioning system and the chamber. A sensor is positioned at or proximate a drum exit of the drum. A controller of the dryer appliance receives an input indicative of the relative humidity of the air at the drum exit. Based on the received input, the controller determines a control command. The control command can be routed to a blower fan motor operable to drive the blower fan. The blower fan motor receives the control command and adjusts a flow rate of the air exiting the drum exit.
CONTROLLING REFRIGERANT AND AIR MASS FLOW RATE BASED ON MOISTURE EXTRACTION RATE IN A DRYER APPLIANCE
A dryer appliance and a method of operating the same are provided. In one aspect, the dryer appliance includes a drum rotatably mounted within a cabinet. The drum defines a chamber that is in fluid communication with a conditioning system of the dryer appliance. The conditioning system heats air circulating therethrough and removes water from the process air. A collection tank collects the water and a drain pump removes water from the collection tank intermittently when the water reaches a predetermined level. The frequency at which the drain pump removes water from the collection tank is utilized to determine the moisture extraction rate indicative of the rate at which moisture is removed from the clothes. The moisture extraction rate is utilized to control the mass flow rate of refrigerant in a heat pump sealed system or the process air flow rate through the closed loop air circuit.
TUMBLE DRYER
The present disclosure relates to a tumble dryer (1) with a filter arrangement (12) located in a tumble dryer process air flow (21) for removing lint from process air leaving tumble dryer drum. The filter arrangement comprises a first coarse-mesh filter (25) and a second fine filter (27). A first sensor (41) detects a correct positioning of the first filter in the tumble dryer, and a second sensor (33) detects a pressure drop over a process air flow path comprising the second filter. A control arrangement (45) is configured to initiate a disabling operation which disables the fan arrangement (12), if the first filter is not correctly positioned in the tumble dryer or if the pressure drop over the second filter exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
