Washing machine appliance with an integrated water-on-demand feature
A washing machine having an integrated water-on-demand feature is provided. The washing machine appliance allows a user to adjust the water or wash liquid fill amount of the washing machine appliance using an actuator integrated into or positioned nearby the dispenser box, thereby enabling a simple, convenient, and effective manner of adding wash liquid without requiring a substantial number of additional parts or assembly.
Methods for controlling a water reuse system in a wash machine
A water reuse system and controller for controlling water levels, temperature, and quality in the rinse water reuse system and methods of using the same, in order to optimize water usage. More particularly, the application pertains to a controller and methods of using the controller to regulate water levels and water quality in a water reuse system. As part of detailing the controller and methods of using the same, an apparatus for a water reuse system is also provided.
LAUNDRY WASHING MACHINE FOR USE WITH UNIT DOSE DETERGENT PACKAGES
A method and apparatus for breaking a unit dose package in a chamber within a post located in a basket of a laundry washing machine. The method includes filling the basket and the chamber, increasing a rotation speed of the basket and/or the post to raise the water level in the basket and lower the water level in the chamber to cause a unit dose package within the chamber to move downwards; reducing the rotation speed to lower the water level in the basket and raise the water level in chamber to cause the unit dose package within the chamber to move upwards; and repeating the steps of increasing and reducing the rotational speed to cause the unit dose package to break open and at least partially dissolve. A laundry washing machine configured to perform this process is also provided.

More particularly, the application pertains to a controller and methods of using the controller to regulate water levels and water quality in a water reuse system. As part of detailing the controller and methods of using the same, an apparatus for a water reuse system is also provided.
Laundry treating appliance detergent dispenser
A laundry treating appliance includes a cabinet defining an interior and having an access opening to the interior, a treating chamber located within the interior and accessible through the access opening, a dispenser having a drawer with at least one chemistry container and a faucet, and a water supply fluidly coupled to the faucet.
Freeze protection method for washing machine
A freeze protection method for a washing machine includes: determining, by a control unit, whether or not laundry items exist after a washing process, when a freeze protection course is selected; determining, by the control unit, whether a freeze protection operation condition is satisfied or not, when no laundry items exist; and operating, by the control unit, a water supply device to supply water and operating a drain device to discharge water, when the freeze protection operation condition is satisfied; and returning to the determining of whether the freeze protection operation condition is satisfied or not, when a preset standby time passes after the water supply device and the drain device are operated.
CALIBRATION CYCLES IN WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCES
A method is for a fill cycle calibration in a washing machine appliance. The method includes receiving an activation signal of a calibration cycle, and performing the calibration cycle. The calibration cycle includes initializing a fill sequence of the washing machine appliance, determining a supply connection orientation of a hot water supply hose and a cold water supply hose, measuring a volume of water from a hot water supply valve before reaching a predetermined temperature threshold, measuring flow rates of water from the hot water supply valve and a cold water supply valve, and updating operational parameters of the washing machine appliance.
Method for operating a laundry washing machine using a unit dose package and laundry washing machine
A laundry washing machine and a method for operating the washing machine offer ways to load a unit dose package into a compartment of the washing machine. A control unit controls the washing machine to add water to a compartment having a unit dose package. The tub is then filled with hot or cold water depending on the temperature of the water in the tub, or whether a sanitizing cycle of a washing program has been selected.
