The clothing care machine and the control method can automatically judge whether the drying process is completed and stop working according to the humidity change in the drying chamber and the ambient humidity, the judgment is more accurate to effectively improve the drying effect and reduce the energy consumption, and the intelligent degree is higher.

A portable textile treatment device includes a heatable soleplate for contacting and treating the textile, an image sensor and an illumination system. The image sensor has an active surface sensitive and takes an image of the textile, and the illumination system has a light source that illuminates a portion of the textile when the image is being taken. The portable device also includes a control unit configured to execute an algorithm stored in the portable device for obtaining a classification of the textile based on taken image, and based on the classification for controlling at least one operating parameter of the portable textile treatment device. A dryer appliance including a drum defining a chamber for receiving clothes, a moisture sensor for detecting a remaining moisture content within the clothes, and a water supply in fluid communication with the chamber is provided. A controller determines that the remaining moisture content has dropped below a predetermined moisture content and calculates a remaining cycle time based at least in part on a selected dryness level. Disclosed herein is a method of controlling a laundry dryer for generating high-temperature steam through a steam part and controlling each of rotation of a drum and rotation of a circulation fan. The method includes a steam drying procedure drying operation of increasing an internal temperature of the drum to dry an object to be dried, a steam drying procedure steam supply operation of supplying steam into the drum after the steam drying procedure drying operation, and a re-drying operation of supplying hot air into the drum after the steam drying procedure steam supply operation. When steam is sprayed from the steam part, the rotation of the drum is maintained, the rotation of the circulation fan is stopped, such that the steam is evenly supplied to the object to be dried, damage to the object is prevented, and sterilization of the object is enhanced.

The present disclosure relates to a laundry treating apparatus that is provided to supply steam into a drum accommodating laundry therein and to supply hot water or the steam to a region outside the drum to also sterilize the region outside the drum, and a method for controlling the same.

A method controls a laundry treatment apparatus that includes a drum in which a target object to be dried is put, a drum motor to drive the drum, an air duct to guide air into the drum, a heat pump provided in the air duct to dehumidify and heat the air, a blower fan to move the air of the air duct, and a blower motor to drive the blower fan. The method includes a drum driving step for repeatedly driving the drum by accelerating and decelerating the drum, a steam supply step for supplying or stopping steam for a predetermined time during execution of the drum driving step, and an air supply step for circulating internal air of the drum during execution of the drum driving step. The circulation of the internal air of the drum is stopped during execution of the steam supply step.
