PROCESS OF POST-WASH REMOVING MICROORGANISM FROM GARMENTS
A process of post-wash removing microorganism from garments is provided in which the process includes a) providing an article of clothing in a washing machine; and b) contacting said article of clothing during a wash sub-cycle of said washing machine with a liquid detergent composition including a surfactant system and an anti-microbial agent comprising a diphenyl ether in which the surfactant system includes a C.sub.6-C.sub.20 linear alkylbenzene sulfonate as the main surfactant.

Linen treatment compositions and linen processes are disclosed which help to prevent iron deposition from wash water, and/or redeposition after iron containing stain (such as blood) removal by alkaline detergents. The linen treatment composition is a combination of a hydroxycarboxylic acid and an acid source, which may be organic or inorganic. The invention provides for effective iron control in a phosphorus-free formula that is also free of toxic or hazardous chemicals and includes sustainable, environmentally friendly ingredients, while still providing effective iron control.

The invention additionally relates to a down and/or feather washing and/or cleaning composition for rendering the down and/or feathers hydrophobic comprising a solution of an alkyl polyglucoside, optionally a solution of a Group 4 metal salt, and a water-repellent treatment. The invention further relates to a kit for cleaning and/or washing down and/or feathers and rendering the down and/or feathers water repellent.
