MASSAGING APPARATUS AND CHAIR MASSAGER EQUIPPED WITH THE MASSAGING APPARATUS
There are provided a massaging apparatus capable of providing comfortable kneading and massaging effects and reducing damage to a cover covering massaging elements, and a chair massager having the massaging apparatus.
The massaging apparatus comprises horizontally arranged paired massaging members (10,11) having massaging elements (91 to 94) and a massaging mechanism (12) for producing kneading action by operating at least one of the massaging members (10,11) so that the massaging elements (91 to 94) have horizontal approaching-separating movement. The massaging member (10,11) includes an arm member (15,16) extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of approaching-separating movement. The massaging element (91 to 94) is attached to the tip of the arm member (15,16) for rotation about the axis of an extension line (L) extending along the extending direction of the arm member (15,16) and about an axis pointing in a direction substantially perpendicular to the extension line (L).
MASSAGE MACHINE
Massage mechanisms of a massage machine individually include a pair of left and right treatment members provided along a height direction of the massage machine. A first massage mechanism is disposed on a relatively upper side, and a second massage mechanism is disposed on a relatively lower side. A control means that controls operations of the first and second massage mechanisms. The control means controls advancing/retreating drive portions such that the treatment members of the first massage mechanism and the treatment members of the second massage mechanism advance or retreat at speeds different from each other such as with a time lag.
Built-in seating for a spa
A spa (100) with built-in seating is disclosed. The spa (100) includes a pool body (10) partially enclosing a water cavity (11), and a seating assembly (20). The seating assembly (20) includes an inflatable bench (23) attached to a floor of the pool body (10), and an inflatable backrest (25) attached to the inflatable bench (23) by at least one attachment assembly (31) having an adjustable length such that a user can adjust a position of the inflatable backrest (25) relative to the inflatable bench (23).
Therapeutic device for post-operative knee
A method for exercising a joint and a limb including the following: preventing movement of an exercise device actuation member in a first direction unless pressure exerted by the limb against the actuation member is equal to or greater than a predetermined first target pressure; permitting movement of the actuation member in the first direction at a first predetermined speed when pressure exerted by the limb against the actuation member is equal to or greater than the predetermined first target pressure; preventing movement of the actuation member in a second direction unless pressure exerted by the limb against the actuation member is equal to or greater than a predetermined second target pressure; and permitting movement of the actuation member in the second direction at a second predetermined speed when pressure exerted by the limb against the actuation member is equal to or greater than the predetermined second target pressure.
A DEVICE AND METHOD TO INDUCE INTERFERENTIAL BEAT VIBRATIONS AND FREQUENCIES INTO THE BODY
This patent relates to the field of peripheral sensorimotor stimulation for the relief of symptoms and physical signs of distress including pain and anxiety and more specifically to addiction withdrawal. Peripheral stimulation of mechanoreceptors has been showed in a unique amplitude and frequency range to induce central effects of release of dopamine with a prolonged duration beyond stimulation in a model of addiction. Such stimulation can serve as an effective bridge during withdrawal from known addicting substances, including chemicals and behaviors, thus mitigating symptoms and potentially facilitating the cessation of drugs or substance seeking behavior. Interferential beat frequencies can be induced into the body using separately located sources of vibration to localize maxima and minima of stimulation. A conforming seat consisting of two separately driven halves induces a traveling wave due to interference or formation of beat frequencies which are driven in the therapeutic range to mitigate the symptoms and signs of withdrawal. Further, the beat frequencies can be monitored by a transducer to assure compliance of a treatment regimen and as a trigger pattern for focused exercises.
Apparatuses for arm exercise
The invention comprises an apparatus for arm exercise for therapy of a subject. The apparatus comprises a base comprising a planar upper surface. A first set of parallel rails are affixed to said upper surface of the base, the first set of parallel rails comprising a first rail and a second rail positioned parallel to each other and separated from each other by a predefined first distance. A second set of rails comprising at least a third rail having a first end and a second end are also provided, wherein said first end is slidably mounted on the first rail and said second end is slidably mounted on said second end. A sliding mount is slidably affixed to the second set of rails, and configured such that said sliding mount can be slidingly moved between the first end and the second end of the third rail.
