Textile products with herbal composition to render the fabrics insects repellent
The present invention provides a herbal composition for treating a fabric to make the fabric insect repellent. The present invention further provides a composition for treating a fabric and a method of treating the fabric to make the fabric insect repellent. The invention also provides the various methods of treating different kinds of fabrics along with their dyeing and finishing processes to render the fabric insect repellant. The fabric becomes insect repellant up to 40 washes. The fabric becomes repellent against bed bugs of Cimex species, house dust mites of Dermatophagoides species, ticks of Ixodes species, houseflies or Musca Domestica, mosquitoes or Aedes Aegypti and harvest bugs of Trombidium species. The fabric is selected from the group consisting of a cotton fabric, a regenerated viscose cellulose fabric, a wool fabric, a silk fabric, a polyester fabric and blends thereof.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING CARBON FIBER AND CARBON FIBER PRODUCED USING SAME
The present invention is a method for producing carbon fiber, characterized by using a carbon-fiber precursor produced from a polymer having a narrow molecular weight distribution and by applying only a small amount of a smoothing agent, composed of a specific component, to the carbon fiber surface immediately before winding of carbon fiber. According to the present invention, it is possible to stably produce carbon fiber, which has excellent dispersibility and do not deteriorate in quality and quality even when a sizing agent is not attached to the carbon fiber surface. In addition, the produced carbon fiber is suitable for use in a composite material which is produced by high-temperature processing using a thermoplastic resin.
Hydrophobic extenders in fluorinated surface effect coatings
The present invention relates to a coated article comprising a partial or complete fluorinated coating on the surface of an article, wherein the coating comprises 5 to 99% by weight of a hydrophobic compound, and 1 to 95% by weight of a fluorinated surface effect agent, both based on the total solids weight of the coating, where the hydrophobic compound is selected from a hydrophobic cyclic or acyclic ester alcohol.

SEWING THREAD TREATMENT AGENT AND SEWING THREAD
An object of the present invention is to provide a sewing thread treatment agent, and a sewing thread, each achieving low friction properties across a wide range of sewing speeds. As a solution, a sewing thread treatment agent is provided, which is characterized in that it contains a hydroxy-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (A), a nonionic surfactant (B), and at least one type of wax (C) selected from paraffin wax, oxidized paraffin wax, polyethylene wax, oxidized polyethylene wax, and carnauba wax.
SPLITTABLE CHARGEABLE FIBER, SPLIT MULTICOMPONENT FIBER, A SPLIT MULTICOMPONENT FIBER WITH A DURABLE CHARGE, NONWOVEN FABRIC, FILTER, AND YARN CONTAINING, AND MANUFACTURING PROCESSES THEREFOR
A process for forming a splittable fiber having the steps of providing a multicomponent fiber; or a multicomponent staple fiber, providing a finish material, and at least partially coating the multicomponent fiber with the finish material to form a splittable fiber. The multicomponent fiber; or a multicomponent staple fiber, contains a first thermoplastic segment comprising polymer component A and a second thermoplastic segment comprising polymer component B. The finish material has an evaporation point of less than about 160° C. A process for forming a nonwoven fabric, a split multicomponent fiber, a split multicomponent fiber with a durable charge, a nonwoven fabric, and a filter and/or a spun yarn formed by the fibers herein is also described.

X represents NH, N(ZAr.sup.2), O or S, Z represents a single bond or an alkylene group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms which may have a substituent, Ar.sup.2 represents an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms which may have a substituent or an aromatic heterocyclic group having 2 to 15 carbon atoms which may have a substituent. Y each independently represents a methylene group which may have a substituent, and n represents an integer of 0 to 3. Ar.sup.1 represents an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms which may have a substituent or an aromatic heterocyclic group having 2 to 15 carbon atoms which may have a substituent. ##STR00001##
TREATMENT AGENT FOR ELASTIC FIBERS, AND ELASTIC FIBER
Disclosed is an elastic fiber treatment agent that contains a smoothing agent and an alkyl phosphate ester compound. The alkyl phosphate ester compound contains specific phosphate ester Q1 and at least one or more selected from specific phosphate esters Q2 and Q3. In a P nucleus NMR measurement of the alkyl phosphate ester compound upon an alkali over-neutralization pretreatment, a P nucleus NMR integral ratio attributed to the phosphate ester Q1 is 15% to 60% if the sum of P nucleus NMR integral ratios attributed to the phosphate esters Q1 to Q3 and phosphoric acid and its salt is taken as 100%.
