Flameproofing agent for fibers
A flameproofing agent for fibers which has high flameproofness and excellent physical properties (light resistance, heat resistance, texture), a process for manufacturing a flameproof fiber product and a flameproof fiber product. The flameproofing agent comprises an organic phosphorus compound (component A) represented by the following formula (1). ##STR00001##
(In the above formula, X.sup.1 and X.sup.2 are the same or different and each an aromatic substituted alkyl group represented by the following formula (2).)AL
Ar).sub.n(2)
(In the above formula, AL is a branched or linear aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, Ar is a phenyl group, naphthyl group or anthryl group all of which may have a substituent, n is an integer of 1 to 3, and Ar may be bonded to any carbon atom contained in AL.)

Fabric print medium
A fabric print medium containing a fabric base substrate and a coating composition applied to the fabric base substrate. The coating composition includes a non-halogenated flame retardant agent having phosphorous-containing ingredient and nitrogen-containing ingredient at a 1:1 ratio, a water-soluble polymer binder and a water-soluble high-valence metal complex. Also disclosed are the method for making such fabric print medium and the method for producing printed images using said material.

Method for manufacturing fabric
Provided is a method for manufacturing a fabric having excellent stain resistance and flame retardancy. The method of manufacturing a fabric of the present invention includes the steps of (a) immersing a polyester fabric in a treatment liquid containing a first fluorine-based water-and-oil repellent agent to incorporate the treatment liquid thereinto, followed by drying the fabric; (b) coating one surface of the fabric with a coating composition containing a second fluorine-based water-and-oil repellent agent and a flame retardant; and (c) cleaning the fabric having the coating layer formed thereon with hot water of 65 C. to 90 C.

FLAME RETARDANT COVER
Flame retardant covers for mattress and flame retardant mattresses are provided. At least a portion of the fibers, yarns or the fabric of the covers is treated with a blend comprising a flame retardant compound such as ammonium phosphate. The covers do not further require any flame barrier element such as fiberglass or silica-loaded rayon. The mattresses provided herein fully comply with the federal mattress flammability standards of 16 C.F.R. 1632 and 1633.
Flame retardant fabrics and methods for manufacturing the same
Embodiments of the present invention use melamine-based resins as a pretreatment on fabrics and fabric blends in combination with phosphorus-based flame retardants to improve flame retardant performance, durability, and further promote char formation in a combustion zone of the fabric.
