Portable Environment Sensing Device
A portable environment sensing device is described which comprises at least one time-of-flight sensor capable of detecting the distances from the time-of-flight sensor to at least two features within the field of view of the time-of-flight sensor simultaneously. The portable environment sensing device further comprises a processing unit capable of converting the at least two measured distances into at least two different distance signals, where each distance signal is correlated with the corresponding measured distance, and an output interface providing the at least two distance signals to a user simultaneously.
TRANSCUTANEOUS ELECTROSTIMULATOR AND METHODS FOR ELECTRIC STIMULATION
An electrostimulation device comprising an electrode coupler configured as an earbud, the earbud shaped to form fit inside an ear canal of a human ear and composed of a pliable material that conforms to the ear canal when inserted therein, the pliable material forming at least two electrostimulation electrodes, each electrostimulation electrode conductively connected to a conductive lead adapted to receive a nerve electrostimulation signal, and the earbud adapted to transmit the nerve electrostimulation signal through the electrostimulation electrodes from the conductive leads to tissue within the ear canal when disposed therein.
EAR THERAPEUTIC DEVICE
An ear therapeutic device comprises middle ear ambient pressure equalizing means and vibrations means for providing oscillating vibrations. Middle ear pressure equalizing means comprises at least one conduit comprising at least one first end configured for receiving an airflow blown thereinto and at least one second end configured for external attachment to the ear aperture being in a fluid communication therebetween; and said vibration means induces vibrations propagating into said patient Eustachian tube.
EAR INSERT FOR RELIEF OF TMJ DISCOMFORT AND HEADACHES
An expansible ear canal insert for treating TMJ disorders and headaches which acts directly on the TMJ and associated ligament and muscle structures to reduce stress and loads placed on the articulator disc located between the temporal bone and the mandible, as well as supportive muscles and ligaments near the TMJ. The insert is adapted to expand by application of body heat. In the expanded condition, the insert provides support to the TMJ and associated ligament and muscle structures.
Neural stimulation method and system with audio output
Systems and related methods for controlling delivery of a stimulus to a pinna of a subject with a stimulator worn on the pinna are described. A wearable stimulation device includes a mechanical, electrical, or other type of stimulator secured to a pinna of a subject. A personal computing device in communication with the wearable stimulation device controls delivery of stimuli and other aspects of operation of the device. The personal computing device also controls delivery of a sound signal (for example, music) to the user of the stimulation device in association with the neural stimulus. In some aspects recommendations regarding neural stimuli and other stimuli or experiences to be delivered in association with the neural stimuli are provided via a computing system in communication with the personal computing device or the wearable stimulation device.
AURICULAR PERIPHERAL NERVE FIELD STIMULATOR AND METHOD OF OPERATING SAME
An auricular peripheral nerve field stimulator includes at least one therapy electrode configured for percutaneous insertion into an auricle of a human ear near at least one neurovascular bundle, and an electrical stimulation device electrically coupled to the at least one therapy electrode, the electrical stimulation device programmed to (i) generate and deliver electrical stimulation signals to the inserted at least one therapy electrode at a selected frequency for a selected duration to stimulate at least one auricular peripheral nerve field within the auricle, and (ii) repeat (i) with the stimulation signals having a modulated frequency.
Electrical device comprising an earphone
A device having an earphone is provided to be attached to the tragus of the outer ear of a person, wherein two levers held to one another in a pivotal manner from opposite sides, driven by an elastically preloaded part, press onto the tragus. The levers both have two arms, wherein the pivot axis is at a distance from the ends of the two levers in the longitudinal direction of the lever and lies outside the normal projection towards the surface of the tragus when the device is attached as intended to the tragus, and/or the elastically preloaded part is a pre-curved bending spring which is pre-curved by more than 360.
METHOD FOR EXTERNAL EAR CANAL PRESSURE REGULATION TO ALLEVIATE DISORDER SYMPTOMS
A method for external ear canal pressure regulation to alleviate one or more symptoms associated with a disorder or treat one or more disorders, the method including providing a fluid transfer device which generates a fluid flow of a fluid through an earplug, the earplug having an earplug external surface configured to sealably engage an external ear canal wall as a barrier between an external ear canal pressure and an ambient pressure; sealably engaging the earplug of the fluid transfer device with the external ear canal wall as the barrier between the external ear canal pressure and the ambient pressure; and operating the fluid transfer device to generate the fluid flow of the fluid through the earplug to achieve an external ear canal pressure differential between the external ear canal pressure and the ambient pressure effective to alleviate a disorder symptom or treat a disorder.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING MECHANICAL STIMULATION TO NERVE, MECHANORECEPTOR, AND CELL TARGETS
Presented herein are systems, methods, and devices that provide for stimulation of nerves and/or targets such as mechanoreceptors, tissue regions, mechanoresponsive proteins, and vascular targets through generation and delivery of mechanical vibrational waves. In certain embodiments, the approaches described herein utilize a stimulation device (e.g., a wearable device) for generation and delivery of the mechanical vibrational waves. As described herein, the delivered vibrational waves can be tailored based on particular targets (e.g., nerves, mechanoreceptors, vascular targets, tissue regions) to stimulate and/or to elicited particular desired responses in a subject.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT OF ANXIETY AND RELATED DISORDERS VIA DELIVERY OF MECHANICAL STIMULATION TO NERVE, MECHANORECEPTOR, AND CELL TARGETS
