More particularly, disclosed is a massage chair comprising: a seat 200; a back support portion 100 rotatably mounted on one side of the seat 200; a calf massage portion 400 rotatably mounted on the other side of the seat 200; and a manipulation portion 600 capable of adjusting movements of the back support portion 100 and the calf massage portion 400, in which the manipulation portion 600 includes: a shoulder height measurement module 610 for measuring the shoulder height of the user; a hip bone location prediction module 620 for predicting the hip bone location by using a preset first method with reference to the shoulder height measured by the shoulder height measurement module 610; a massage location determination module 630 for determining a plurality of massage locations based on the hip bone location predicted by the hip bone location prediction module 620; and a massage mode selection module 640 for selecting one massage mode of a plurality of previously-stored massage modes based on the plurality of massage locations determined by the massage location determination module 630, thereby massaging the plurality of massage locations determined by the massage location determination module 630 in accordance with the massage mode selected by the massage mode selection module 640.

The present invention is directed to a massage chair having a massage chair frame, a massage and stretching system, and a noise-reducing, enclosure device. The frame includes a first end, a second end, a seat body area portion, and a back body area portion. The massage system includes at least one air massage element, an air pump, and at least one air valve device for regulating air flow into and out of the air massage element. The enclosure device includes an enclosure housing and noise-reducing material positioned inside the housing. The housing encloses the air pump and air valve device(s) during operation such that noise generated from or made by the air pump and air valve device(s) during operation is reduced, contained or eliminated. The present invention may include additional features: manual or automated armrest sliding, manual or automated shoulder massager with sliding mechanism, remote software update, media player holder, virtual reality player, wireless charger, hammering devices, heating acupuncture devices, and oxygen generator.

This disclosure relates to improved massage chairs that include air cell apparatuses. A massage chair can include at least one air cell apparatus, which can be integrated into a shoulder portion, leg rest portion, arm portion, and/or other portion of the massage chair. An inflatable air bladder can be connected to each air cell apparatus. Each air cell apparatus can transition between a retracted position and an extended position. The air cell bladder can be configured to inflate when the air cell apparatus is in the extended position, thereby securing an individual to the massage chair. Various assemblies can be used to transition the air cell apparatus between the retracted and extended positions. Other embodiments are disclosed.
