WATERPROOF AND BREATHABLE, POROUS MEMBRANES
The invention relates to manufacturing processes for waterproof and breathable porous polymer membranes by coating a substrate with a dispersion comprising polymer, coated particles and diluent and removing the particles by dissolution, wherein the particles are made of organic salts, metal salts or metal oxides and the coating material is selected from carboxylic acids and alkoxy silanes. The invention further relates to dispersions to obtain such membranes, to polymer membranes obtained, to shaped art ides containing such membranes; to the use of such membranes, shaped articles and intermediates.
Laminated sheet and method of manufacturing the same
A laminated sheet includes a base cloth layer having a porous structure obtained by impregnating a woven fabric, which has a tear strength by a trapezoid method of 150 N or more in the longitudinal direction and 100 N or more in the lateral direction, with a resin composition containing a polyurethane resin and an organic flame retardant, and a skin layer layered on the base cloth layer, and has plural air holes penetrating in the thickness direction.
WOUND DRESSINGS, AND YARN USEFUL THEREIN
Described herein are wound dressings, methods for their production and components for use therein. Described herein are a knitted structure including a blend of gelling fibres and non-gelling fibres wherein the yarn includes at least 50% w/w gelling fibres, a three-dimensional textile material including gelling fibres, and a yarn including a blend of gelling and non-gelling fibres which may be used in their production, the knitted structure and three-dimensional textile material being suitable for use as wound dressings or as components of composite wound dressings. The wound dressings may be adapted for use in negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT). It has been found that the incorporation of gel-forming fibres provides a material which has a high absorbency, enabling good transfer of exudates away from a wound, which retains structural integrity, and which is non-adherent and easily removed from the wound.
B-STAGEABLE AQUEOUS BINDER COMPOSITIONS
An aqueous binder composition is disclosed that includes 5.0% by weight to 50.0% by weight of a monomeric polyol having at least four hydroxyl groups, based on the total solids content of the aqueous binder composition; and at least 50.0% by weight of a cross-linking agent comprising a polymeric polycarboxylic acid having at least two carboxylic acid groups, based on the total solids content of the aqueous binder composition. The aqueous binder composition includes a ratio of molar equivalents of carboxylic acid groups to hydroxyl groups is between 0.15/1.0 and 2.23/1 and has a pH of 2.2 to 4.0 and a viscosity at 40% solids and 25 C. of 10 cP to 60 cP.
POLYURETHANE SYNTHETIC LEATHER AND POLYURETHNE FILM COMPRISING SUCROSE AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a polyurethane synthetic leather having uniform fine pores therein, by coagulating a polyurethane mixture solution prepared by mixing an additive containing sucrose with a polyurethane resin composition, and then removing the additive in the coagulated polyurethane mixture solution. The present invention can not only form a smooth surface after a sanding process but also improve an air permeability and softness due to fine pores formed in the polyurethane synthetic leather.
In addition, the size and density of the fine pores can be optionally adjusted by adjusting the content of the additive, and the present invention can provide various types of synthetic leathers depending on the product use.
Percolative surface textured polymeric latex coating for a fabric supported glove and method of making
A latex dipped article, particularly a fabric supported glove which is flexible and fatigue resistant, comprising a fabric liner, with a shape of a hand. The fabric liner is coated with a foam polymeric latex material which is then treated with an aqueous silicone or non-silicon based surface active agent to facilitate the formation of percolative surface structure through bursting of bubbles in the foam layer and stripped off the excess polymeric material. Then the stripped material is removed gently by exposing to a flowing fluid which further enhances the texture of the percolative coating that results an excellent grip in dry, wet and oil environments.
ITACONATE DIPPED GLOVES AND SURFACE TREATMENT METHOD
The present invention belongs to the technical field of labor protection products, and specifically relates to an itaconate dipped glove and a surface treatment method, wherein a glove core is taken out after being dipped in an itaconate rubber solution, and directly immersed into a water grinding surface treatment solution for surface treatment of the rubber surface after the steps of rubber dripping and uniformizing, and the surface treated gloves are rinsed after being left to stand, and then dried after the rinsing is completed.
