Vapor-permeable, substantially water-impermeable, corrosion-inhibiting composites and methods of making the same
Vapor-permeable, substantially water-impermeable, corrosion-inhibiting composites are disclosed herein. For instance, disclosed herein are composites comprising a first layer comprising a first nonwoven; and a second layer adjacent to and mechanically integrated with the first layer, the second layer comprising a polymer having a melt flow index of about 10 g/10 mins to about 200 g/10 mins, and a corrosion inhibitor, wherein the composite has a moisture vapor transmission rate of from about 25 g/m.sup.2/day to about 1000 g/m.sup.2/day when measured at about 23° C. and about 50% relative humidity. Also disclosed herein are methods of making and using the same.
COATING PROVIDING PANCHROMATIC SCATTERING
An article includes a substrate with a surface, and a coating disposed over the surface. The coating includes a binder material and a plurality of porous polymer particles having pores with a variety of pore sizes including a first set of pores having a first average pore size d1 in the range 0.3≤d1/λ1≤0.7, wherein λ1 is a wavelength in the range of 250-400 nm, a second set of pores having a second average pore size d2 in the range 0.3≤d2/λ2≤0.7, wherein λ2 is a wavelength in the range of 400-700 nm, and a third set of pores having a third average pore size d3 in the range 0.3≤d3/λ3≤0.7, wherein λ3 is a wavelength in the range of 700-3000 nm, wherein the porous polymer particles have a shell which is impermeable to a liquid.
Flame Retardant Coating for Textiles
Disclosed is a flame retardant coating for a textile sheet product, which contains at least one binder or a binder mixture, expandable graphite particles and additionally at least one chemical flame retardant. The grain size of at least 80%, preferably 100%, of the expandable graphite particles is at most 100 μm.
Cushion for a Plane Seat, Having Antimicrobial Effect
Provided is a cushion for an aircraft seat including at least one antimicrobially active pad made of at least one plastic material, the pad having at least two antimicrobially active substances contained therein. The antimicrobially active substances do not contain silver or silver ions, and at least one antimicrobially active flame retardant fabric covering side at least one pad.
HEAT-SENSITIVE AQUEOUS POLYURETHANE DISPERSION AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
A heat sensitive aqueous polyurethane dispersion is provided. The heat sensitive aqueous polyurethane dispersion comprises an aqueous polyurethane dispersion; a cationic surfactant; and an anionic surfactant. A method for preparing the heat-sensitive aqueous polyurethane dispersion and a synthetic leather article comprising a film derived from the heat-sensitive aqueous polyurethane dispersion and a coating comprising the heat-sensitive aqueous polyurethane dispersion are also provided.
Active apparel and fabric and coverings
A fabric delivers active ingredients to a surface when the fabric includes a moist-vapor porous combination of fabric materials, and the fabric comprises at least 0.5% by total weight of at least one layer of the fabric of a superabsorbent polymer fiber. The superabsorbent polymer fiber contains an absorbed aqueous reservoir of an aqueous solution carrying the active ingredients. The superabsorbent fiber has a coating on its surface of an aqueous penetrable layer through which a liquid in the absorbed aqueous reservoir can migrate or flow, carrying the active ingredients onto an exposed surface of the superabsorbent polymer fiber, so that the active ingredients on the surface of the superabsorbent polymer can react or interact with an environment in contact with the active ingredients on the superabsorbent polymer fiber surface.
URETHANE RESIN COMPOSITION AND LAYERED PRODUCT
The present invention provides an urethane resin composition containing an urethane resin (A), water (B), and a film forming auxiliary (C), wherein the film forming auxiliary (C) is a polyethylene glycol (c1) and/or a polyethylene glycol (c2) having an alkoxy group having 11 or less carbon atoms. Further, the present invention provides a layered product having at least a substrate (i) and a foamed layer (ii) which is formed from the above-mentioned urethane resin composition. The polyethylene glycol (c1) and the polyethylene glycol (c2) preferably have a weight average molecular weight in the range of from 100 to 4,000. The urethane resin (A) preferably has an anionic group.
