There is described an orthosis comprising: a first portion adapted to be secured to an upper arm region of a wearer; a second portion hingedly connected to the first portion and comprising a pair of elongate members spaced apart to extend along opposing sides of a lower arm region of the wearer, each of the elongate members terminate at a distal end adjacent to a wrist of the wearer and being connected by a connecter extending at least partially around the wrist of the wearer; wherein, the distal ends of the elongated members each have a connector element formed therein for facilitating engagement with the wearer's hand so as to maintain the wearer's hand in either a pronated or a supinated position.

The hand-attached controlled eccentric vibration device includes a unit body made of rigid material in a form of a box and comprises a compartment to enclose at least one motor, a controller, and a battery therein. The bottom of the unit body has a curved shape to be fitted with the back of the hand of the first person. Further, the unit body is attached to the back of the hand of the first person by means of a skin attachment part.

The invention comprises an apparatus for arm exercise for therapy of a subject. The apparatus comprises a base comprising a planar upper surface. A first set of parallel rails are affixed to said upper surface of the base, the first set of parallel rails comprising a first rail and a second rail positioned parallel to each other and separated from each other by a predefined first distance. A second set of rails comprising at least a third rail having a first end and a second end are also provided, wherein said first end is slidably mounted on the first rail and said second end is slidably mounted on said second end. A sliding mount is slidably affixed to the second set of rails, and configured such that said sliding mount can be slidingly moved between the first end and the second end of the third rail.

A percussive therapy device that includes a housing, an electrical source, a motor positioned in the housing, a switch for activating the motor, and a push rod assembly operatively connected to the motor and configured to reciprocate in response to activation of the motor. The present invention is to provide a hand washing, disinfection and automatic massage machine. The machine is housed in a case, in which the washing and disinfectant compartment, a wastewater treatment compartment can be maintained as a control hand washing, sanitizing and massaging environment. The water can be supplied by a water pump and wastewater treatment compartment and the disinfection process is provided by UV lamps. In addition, the present invention provides a method of operating a hand washing, disinfection and automatic massage machine.

Disclosed is a rehabilitation robot training system for monitoring and suppressing the compensatory movement of a hemiplegic upper limb. The system includes an upper computer control center, an interaction display screen, a force feedback glove, a position tracker, upper limb rehabilitation robot tail end connectors, an upper limb rehabilitation robot, a base and a pressure cushion. One upper limb rehabilitation robot tail end connector is mounted on a tail end of each of two robotic arms of the upper limb rehabilitation robot, and the upper limb rehabilitation robot tail end connectors are respectively worn on an upper arm and a forearm of a patient to drive an arm to move; the upper computer control center stores and processes data, collected by the position tracker, the force feedback glove and the pressure cushion in real time, of the patient, and monitors and analyses whether the patient does a compensatory gesture.
System And Method Utilizing Vacuum For Promoting The Healing Of Sprains
A system and apparatus for promoting perfusion at a tissue site containing a sprain by applying a vacuum to intact skin extending over or surrounding the tissue site. The system and apparatus comprise a manifold formed from a porous material and configured to be disposed proximate the intact skin for distributing vacuum to the intact skin, and a sleeve adapted to cover the manifold and form a chamber containing the manifold to seal the manifold within the chamber between the sleeve and the intact skin. The system and apparatus further comprise a fluid coupling member adapted to deliver vacuum to the manifold for distribution to the intact skin. A method for applying vacuum to the intact skin of a tissue site is also disclosed and described herein.
