Brassiere with slidable rims
A brassiere including a first aperture, a second aperture, a first shell and a second shell. The first shell has a first rim extending laterally outwardly therefrom, the first aperture dimensioned and configured to receive one or both of the first shell and first rim. The first rim non-fixedly positionable in contact with skin of a wearer. The second shell has a second rim extending laterally outwardly therefrom. The second aperture is dimensioned and configured to receive one or both of the second shell and second rim, the second rim non-fixedly positionable in contact with skin of the wearer wherein the first and second rims are slidable outwardly while maintaining contact with the skin.
External vacuum expander with non-adhesive rim
A tissue expander having a shell, an opening in the shell in communication with an external vacuum source to apply a vacuum within the shell and impart a distracting force to expand tissue, and a rim connected to the shell and adapted to be in contact with a skin of a patient. The rim is non-fixedly attached to the skin of the patient and moves laterally outwardly with respect to the shell under application of the vacuum.
Rigiditying brace
A brace for retaining an organ in an expanded state configured to adhere and substantially conform to an external surface of the organ includes an inner layer, an outer layer, and at least one sheet of thin malleable material forming a middle layer between the inner layer and outer layer, the at least one sheet being enclosed and configured to rigidify and maintain the organ in an expanded state upon application of a vacuum. The brace can be incorporated into a brassiere.
Compression garment system
Compression garments and methods may include a head garment configured to be positioned around both sides of a head of a body from a posterior of the head to an anterior of the head and a torso garment. Such garment portions may include one or more controllable pressure applying regions to move lymph from the head downward to the torso.
Lactating breast milk extraction apparatus and method of use
A progressive sequencing lactating breast milk extraction apparatus comprising a series of compression segments arranged forming a conical shape extending between a wider chest end and a narrower extracted milk collection end, at least one vibration generating apparatus in vibrational communication with at least one compression segment of the series of compression segments; and an operational mechanism to contract and expand each compression segment. In use, the operational mechanism cycles each compression segment of the series of compression segments between a compressed state and a relaxed state and the cycles are provided sequentially from a rear of the progressive sequencing lactating breast milk extraction apparatus to the extracted milk collection end. The vibrational energy applied to the breast aids in flow of the milk through the breast.
LACTATION AID AND BREAST TISSUE THERAPEUTIC DEVICE
A lactation aid is disclosed having an outer layer defining a cavity and a core material located in the cavity, the core material being adapted to be one or more of: heated and cooled. The lactation aid is adapted to be manually rolled over a breast. The lactation aid may include protrusions, which protrusions may be hollow such that core material at least partially extends into the protrusions. A temperature indicator may also be present. The lactation aid may combine three therapeutic components: application of temperature (heating or cooling), movement and compression to breast tissue.
THERAPEUTIC BRA
A therapeutic bra including a body portion having a front, a back, a first side, second side, a first cup, and a second cup; the front and the back are connected at the first and second sides, the first cup including a first opening for receiving a first nipple of a user therethrough; the second cup including a second opening for receiving a second nipple of the user therethrough; a flap coupled to the first cup and configured to selectively conceal or expose the first opening; a second flap coupled to the second cup and configured to selectively conceal or expose the second opening; and a first heating apparatus comprising a first heating loop operably connected to a power source and a controller disposed on the body portion; and first and second heating loops associated with the respective cup, the side, the front, and/or flap.
MASSAGE DEVICE
A massage device is disclosed that is made by converting an existing breast pump using a massage adapter ring that allows for the easy conversion to and from a massage device to breast pump.
APPARATUS FOR GENERATING A RECIPROCATING ROTARY MOTION
An apparatus for generating a rotary reciprocating motion comprises an input shaft which is driven with unidirectional rotation and an output shaft for delivering reciprocating rotary motion. A first magnetic or ferromagnetic ring is disposed about a rotation axis fixed to the input shaft and a second magnetic or ferromagnetic ring is disposed about the rotation axis fixed to the output shaft. At least one is formed as an arrangement of permanent magnets. The first and second rings are disposed one within the other around the rotation axis. The magnetic coupling between the rings in combination with the effect of an output load results in the desired reciprocating motion of the output shaft.
