An adhesive strip usable for wrapping motor-vehicle cables has a woven support tape composed of warp yarns and weft yarns made of the same material and having a pair of opposite sides of which at least one has an adhesive coating. A yarn size of the weft yarns is greater than or equal to the yarn size of the respective warp yarns such that the size of the warp yarns measured in the weft direction is less than or equal to the size of the weft yarns measured in the warp direction. The weft yarns are twisted at more than 180 turns per meter of weft yarn. preferably at more than 400 turns per meter of weft yarn.
BIAXIALLY EXPANDED POLYMER FILM, TUFTED CARPET COMPRISING IT AND METHOD FOR THEIR MANUFACTURE
The invention relates to a self-supporting polymer film, to a process for preparing said self-supporting polymer film, to a hot-melt adhesive, to uses of a self-supporting polymer film, to a method for preparing an assembly of at least two objects, and to a tufted carpet. The self-supporting polymer film of the invention comprises a continuous layer of a thermoplastic composition comprising a thermoplastic polymer, wherein the composition has a melt flow index (MFI) of 100 g/10 minutes or more, and wherein the polymer film is biaxially expanded.
Mat for a hybrid turf
A mat for a hybrid sport or decorative turf, having a form of a woven fabric, with a single-sided cover pile made of olefin synthetic yarns such as polyethylene and/or polypropylene and/or polyester, according to a W or 5/12W or 7/16W weave structure, comprising pile burls interlaced with weft, wherein the ends of the burls form synthetic grass blades. The mat has from 5000 to 20000 pile burls per m.sup.2, a warp density from 54 to 72 ends/10 cm, a weft density from 30 to 80 ends/10 cm and a pile height from 20 to 140 mm, wherein each pile burl (3) is interlaced at least two times over three weft fibers (5), and wherein the total surface mass of the mat is from 753 to 2105 g/m.sup.2.
Coated non-woven fabrics from inorganic fibers and functional, decorative layers for floor coverings, ceiling coverings and wall coverings manufactured therefrom
The present invention relates to a non-woven fabric made of inorganic fibers, which has a coating of at least two layers on one of both surfaces, wherein
(i) the non-woven fabric made of inorganic fibers has a thickness of at least 0.2 mm,
(ii) the first layer of the coating comprises particles, whose particle size is between 50 and 100 m,
(iii) the second layer of the coating, which is applied onto the first layer, comprises particles, wherein more than 90% of the particles have a particle size of less than 20 m.
The non-woven fabric made of inorganic fibers according to the invention, in particular glass non-woven fabrics, are in particular suitable for producing decorative coatings for floor coverings, ceiling coverings and wall coverings.
PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE
The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a waterproofing membrane comprising: a preparation of a composition dispersed in a solvent; coating a reinforcement layer by application of said composition on one side of the reinforcement layer; an evaporation of said solvent; having the coated reinforcement layer dried; and an application of a bituminous mass on another side of said reinforcement layer, characterized in that, during the preparation of the composition, the composition is dispersed in a solvent chosen in the group consisting of a solvent other than water or water.
The present invention relates also to a composition for a waterproofing membrane.
CARPETS HAVING AN IMPROVED DELAMINATION STRENGTH AND FLUID BARRIER PROPERTIES AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
A moisture resistant carpet exhibiting exceptional delamination strength and methods of making same are disclosed.
B-stageable aqueous binder compositions
An aqueous binder composition is disclosed that includes 5.0% by weight to 50.0% by weight of a monomeric polyol having at least four hydroxyl groups, based on the total solids content of the aqueous binder composition; and at least 50.0% by weight of a cross-linking agent comprising a polymeric polycarboxylic acid having at least two carboxylic acid groups, based on the total solids content of the aqueous binder composition. The aqueous binder composition includes a ratio of molar equivalents of carboxylic acid groups to hydroxyl groups is between 0.15/1.0 and 2.23/1 and has a pH of 2.2 to 4.0 and a viscosity at 40% solids and 25 C. of 10 cP to 60 cP.
Method for producing recorded matter having three-dimensional image, device for producing recorded matter having three-dimensional image, and foam-promoting liquid
A recorded matter having a three-dimensional image is produced by a method comprising the steps of: applying, to a recording medium including a substrate and a foaming layer provided thereon, a foam-promoting liquid containing water and a foam-promoting component; and heating the foaming layer. The foaming layer contains a binder resin and a foaming particle which foams as heated, while the foam-promoting component lowers a foaming start temperature of the foaming particle. The foaming particle includes a shell layer containing a thermoplastic resin and a volatile material encapsulated in the shell layer. The binder resin contains a water-insoluble resin, while the foam-promoting component contains a compound having no hydroxyl group.
