Carpet Tile With Polyolefin Secondary Backing
This invention relates to a carpet tile that includes a polyolefin secondary backing layer. In particular, this invention relates to modular carpet tiles having at least one layer of polyolefin-containing thermoplastic polymer in the secondary backing of the carpet tile. By modifying the composition of the carpet tiles in this manner, the carpet tiles are able to withstand the high temperatures associated with surface printing of the tiles, while still maintaining cold temperature flexibility.
Transmission belt and method for producing same
A power transmission belt (B) has a reinforcing fabric (13) covering a pulley contact surface thereof. A cover layer (15) adheres to the reinforcing fabric (13) to cover surfaces of fibers or yarns constituting the reinforcing fabric (13), and is exposed outside. The cover layer (15) contains crosslinked polyolefin particles (16) in which polyolefin molecules are crosslinked with each other.
FOULING-PROOF STRUCTURE
A fouling-proof structure is applicable to synthetic leather or fabric and it includes an alcohol-resistant layer; and a water-based fouling-proof layer disposed on the alcohol-resistant layer, wherein the alcohol-resistant layer is formed by curing an alcohol-resistant combination, and the alcohol-resistant combination comprises polyurethane resin, wherein the water-based fouling-proof layer is formed by curing a water-based fouling-proof combination, and the water-based fouling-proof combination comprises polyurethane resin, water, polymerized siloxanes, water-based PTFE and silicone oil.
METHOD OF PRODUCING A FOULING-PROOF STRUCTURE
A method of producing a fouling-proof structure, comprising steps of a) coating an alcohol-resistant combination on a substrate and then drying the alcohol-resistant combination at 80-160 C. to form an alcohol-resistant layer; and b) coating a water-based fouling-proof combination on the alcohol-resistant layer and then drying the water-based fouling-proof combination above 140 C. to form a water-based fouling-proof layer, wherein the alcohol-resistant layer is formed by curing an alcohol-resistant combination, and the alcohol-resistant combination comprises polyurethane resin, wherein the water-based fouling-proof layer is formed by curing a water-based fouling-proof combination, and the water-based fouling-proof combination comprises polyurethane resin, water, polymerized siloxanes, water-based PTFE and silicone oil.
POLYOLEFIN-BASED SYNTHETIC LEATHER AND ARTICLES FORMED THEREFROM
A variety of plates for footwear are provided including a polyolefin resin. Sole structures and articles of footwear formed therefrom are also provided. Methods of making the polyolefin resin compositions, plates, sole structures, and articles of footwear are also provided. In some aspects, the polyolefin resin composition includes an effective amount of a polymeric resin modifier. The effective amount can be an amount effective to allow the resin composition to pass a flex test, and in particular to pass a flex test without significant change in abrasion loss. In some aspects, the resin composition also includes a clarifying agent to improve optical clarity of the plate. In some aspects, the plates include a textile disposed on one or both of a first side and the second side of the plate. The textile can provide for improved bonding of the plate to other components such as a chassis or an upper.
LOW WEIGHT MODULAR CARPET COMPONENTS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
A low-weight carpet tile and process for making the same, wherein the carpet tile comprises a facecloth having a plurality of face yarns tufted through a primary backing, an extruded polymer secondary backing layer, and a reinforcing scrim layer partially embedded within the extruded polymer secondary backing layer. The top surface and bottom surface of the carpet tile are defined by the facecloth and the reinforcing scrim layer, respectively. A polymer-based resin is extruded onto the facecloth to form an at least substantially uniform secondary backing layer, and the reinforcing scrim layer is laid onto the extruded polymer secondary backing layer while the extruded polymer secondary backing layer remains above a softening temperature for the resin. The entire multi-layer web is then passed through a nip to embed the reinforcing scrim layer into the extruded polymer secondary layer, and the entire web is chilled.
IMPREGNATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPREGNATING A TEXTILE FABRIC FOR COMPOSITE COMPONENTS
An impregnation system and a method for impregnating a textile fabric for composite components are described. A matrix 2 can be applied to a textile fabric 1 in such a way that the matrix 2 penetrates it at least partially and/or at least on one side. A first and a second endless belt 1 each designed as a belt loop are provided for the impregnation system. Between the first 4 and the second belt loop 5, the textile fabric 1 can guided on the mutually facing surfaces 6 of the belt loops and can be impregnated there. The deflection rollers 7 are provided in the respective belt loop 4, 5 of the respective endless belts at the deflection areas, with at least one roller being adjustable in the direction of the mutually facing surfaces 6 of the belt loops 4, 5. By adjusting the rollers 8 in the y direction, the wrap angle and thus the pressure exerted on the textile fabric during impregnation is controlled.
