METHOD FOR PRODUCING TEXTILE PRODUCTS, PRODUCTS OBTAINABLE THEREFROM AND METHOD TO RECLAIM THE PRODUCTS
The present invention pertains to a method for manufacturing a laminated textile product comprising providing a first intermediate product comprising a primary backing having a front surface and a back surface, and yarns stitched into the primary backing, the yarns extending from the front surface of the backing material, feeding the intermediate product along a body having a heated surface, the back surface being pressed against the said heated surface, to at least partly melt the yarns present in the intermediate product to bond the yarns to the backing, wherein the part of the back surface that is pressed against the heated surface has a relative speed with respect to the heated surface, so as to provide a second intermediate product having a calendered back surface, providing a dimensionally stable carrier sheet or secondary backing, and connecting the second intermediate product to the carrier sheet by providing a hot melt adhesive between the calendered surface and the sheet, and pressing the sheet to the second intermediate product to form the textile product.
CARPET COMPOSITIONS HAVING LAMINATED FILM BACKINGS AND METHODS FOR MAKING SAME
A carpet composition comprising a tufted yarn locked in place by a laminated film and methods of making same are disclosed.
Artificial leather using polyester and manufacturing method therefor
The present invention relates to an artificial leather using polyester, the artificial leather comprising: a base substrate layer made of a polyester fabric; an adhesive layer deposited on one surface of the base substrate layer and made of a polyester copolymer; and a skin film layer deposited on one surface of the adhesive layer and made of a polyetherester-based block copolymer.
CARPET BACKING COMPRISING NATURAL COMPOUNDS
A carpet or carpet tile comprising a biobased backing is provided. The resultant carpet tile has advantages in terms of environmental issues and reduces the need for fossil fuels. The backing is made using a backing composition comprising a resin, an oil, optionally a thermoplasticelastomer, and a filler material.
Washable Multi-Component Magnetic Floor Mat
This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.
Fabric Substrate and Manufacturing Method Thereof
According to the present invention, there is provided a fabric substrate for mounting a light emitting element. The fabric substrate comprises a fabric layer including at least one fabric, a stress buffer layer that is disposed on the fabric layer and minimizes an occurrence of physical strain and stress caused by bending the fabric layer, and a flattening layer that is disposed on the stress buffer layer and provides a flat surface to allow a light emitting element to operate.
POWDER IMPREGNATION OF TEXTURED FABRIC SURFACES
A textile fabric having increased improved surface properties, variously including surface stability, abrasion resistance, resistance to edge fraying, moisture control, and resistance to fluid penetration is created by introducing a plurality of particles including low-melting particles onto a top surface of the textile fabric. The top surface includes elevated areas, depressed areas, a plurality of surface fibers and gaps among the plurality the plurality of surface fibers. A desired pattern of particle deposition and depth of penetration from the top surface of the plurality of particles into the gaps is established, and heat is applied to the top surface to melt the low-melting particles deposited onto the surface.
