POST-SURGICAL OBSTRUCTION TREATMENT RECOVERY AND REHABILITATION THERAPY
20170360649 · 2017-12-21 ·

Medical pressure therapy can be used on a patient having undergone treatment to reopen an arterial obstruction, such as a stenosis or occlusion. The medical pressure therapy can establish and maintain persistently good distal runoff. The can help ensure the patency of the region having undergone the treatment procedure. In some examples, the technique involves enclosing at least a portion of a limb of a patient on which an obstruction treatment procedure has been performed in an enclosure such that the portion of the limb is sealed from external conditions. The technique further involves alternately applying a negative pressure within the enclosure and releasing the negative pressure from within the enclosure, thereby increasing a volume and velocity of blood flowing past a region of the blood vessel previously-obstructed and thereby increasing distal runoff.

MASSAGE UNIT AND MASSAGE MACHINE

It is a primary object of the present invention to provide a massage unit and a massage machine which can increase a protruding amount of a massage ball. A massage unit 700 includes a pair of massage elements 350; a forward-backward axis 722 forming a swinging fulcrum point for moving the pair of massage elements 350 toward a body of a person to be treated; and an up-and-down axis 732 for moving the massage unit, wherein the forward-backward axis 722 is formed in parallel with the up-and-down axis 732 and provided nearer to the side of the body of the person to be treated than the up-and-down axis 732.

Heel protector and corresponding rehabilitation systems and methods for using the same

A device (900) includes a leg engaging section (101) and a foot engaging section (102 intersecting at a heel receiver (103). The leg engaging section and the foot engaging section defining a leg insertion aperture (104). A first compression wrap member (301) and a second compression wrap member (302) extend from the leg engaging section. An inflatable bladder (501) can be disposed along the leg engaging section between the leg insertion aperture and a compressible cushion layer (902). The inflatable bladder can be selectively inflatable through a connection tube (502) exiting the inflatable bladder at a non-orthogonal angle (504) relative to an edge (507) of the inflatable bladder. The leg engaging section can define at least one channel (1002) to permit the connection tube to exit the device.

FUNCTIONAL SOCK

Clothing and methods for providing targeted and staged compression to portions of a lower extremity, such as a leg of a human may include individual pieces of clothing such as socks and the like, or multiple-piece clothing systems functioning together to provide targeted and staged compression to the lower extremity. One or more articles of clothing individually or together have a plurality of targeted compression zones. Each of the compression zones includes a superior portion extending in a generally superior-inferior direction and an inferior portion contiguous with the superior portion and comprising a portion extending in a direction generally crosswise to the generally superior-inferior direction of the superior portion. Other implementations are also described.

AIR POCKET-TYPE MASSAGE DEVICE

Fluid therapy, for example including spray water at along a user's body, have been found to provide various advantages both as a medical therapeutic technique for treating various physical ailments as well as to improve comfort of a user generally. Embodiments provide therapeutic fluid apparatus(es) and methods of using said therapeutic fluid apparatus(es). One example therapeutic fluid apparatus includes fluid outlets at particular positions of the apparatus to enable spraying of a fluid drawn from the environment around the apparatus at particular points along a user. Some embodiment therapeutic fluid apparatus(es) are removable from the environment(s) from which they draw fluid for use, such that the therapeutic fluid apparatus(es) can be positioned within such environment(s) without permanently altering the environment and/or otherwise affixing the therapeutic fluid apparatus within the environment. Some such therapeutic fluid apparatus(es) are similarly constructed of lightweight materials to facilitate portability of the therapeutic fluid apparatus(es).

System and method utilizing vacuum for promoting the healing of sprains

A system and apparatus for promoting perfusion at a tissue site containing a sprain by applying a vacuum to intact skin extending over or surrounding the tissue site. The system and apparatus comprise a manifold formed from a porous material and configured to be disposed proximate the intact skin for distributing vacuum to the intact skin, and a sleeve adapted to cover the manifold and form a chamber containing the manifold to seal the manifold within the chamber between the sleeve and the intact skin. The system and apparatus further comprise a fluid coupling member adapted to deliver vacuum to the manifold for distribution to the intact skin.
