Rear chain stretcher
An exercise device for stretching the calf muscles and Achilles tendon of a user. The exercise device includes a rod with a pair of grips, a pair of straps, and a foot platform. The pair of straps has two ends; or a first end and a second end. The first end of each strap is affixed to opposing distal ends of the rod. The second end of the pair of straps is affixed to distal, or outside, ends of the foot platform. The exercise device can have a rotatable sleeve with a plurality of surface protuberances on the sleeve. The rotatable sleeve is mounted on the rod between the pair of grips. The rotatable sleeve can be used as a massager by rolling the sleeve over a muscle while gripping the grips on either side of the sleeve.
MASSAGING APPARATUS
A massaging apparatus has two massaging systems arranged proximate to each other for performing more elaborate massage on target body areas. The massaging apparatus includes a first massaging member pair for massaging target areas; a second massaging member pair, provided independently of the first massaging member pair, for massaging target areas; a rotation shaft rotatably driven; a paired first conversion mechanisms, each disposed on a corresponding one of the first massaging members, for converting rotation of the rotation shaft into mutually approaching and separating movements of the first massaging members; and a second conversion mechanism for converting rotation of the rotation shaft into mutually approaching and separating movements of the paired second massaging members. The second massaging member pair is disposed between the paired first massaging members, and the second conversion mechanism is disposed between the paired first conversion mechanisms.
PIEZOELECTRIC COMPRESSION STOCKING
The present disclosure provides a compression stocking that comprises a tubular fabric body and a piezoelectric material that is incorporated into the tubular fabric body. The piezoelectric material changes shape in response to actuation energy to generate a compressive force. When the compression stocking is placed on a user's leg, the compressive force may compress blood vessels in the user's leg to assist with the return of venous blood.
LIMB TREATMENT DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF VASCULAR AND/OR NEUROPATHIC DISORDERS
A medical treatment device and method provide relief from symptoms of peripheral neuropathy and/or vascular dysfunction. The device provides pressure along an inner surface of a human limb of a user, so that at least a portion of the pressure is derived from the weight of the user seated atop the device, and includes a frame for providing support of the device on a floor and one or more curved extensions extending above a center of the frame and downward toward the floor and configured to contact the inner surface of the limb of the user so that weight of the limb supplies at least some of the pressure. The treatment method includes seating a patient atop the device and maintaining the pressure for a treatment interval to provide relief from the symptoms of the peripheral neuropathy and/or vascular dysfunction.
Massage device and chair-type massage apparatus equipped with the massage device
A massage device for performing a kneading massage including paired left and right massage members, each having a treatment element, and a massage mechanism for operating at least one of the paired massage members to cause the treatment elements to move close to and away from each other in the horizontal direction to produce kneading actions. The massage member has an arm member extending substantially perpendicularly to the approaching/separating direction, and the treatment element is disposed at the front end of the arm member so that an extended line L extending along the protruding direction of the arm member passes through the interior of the treatment element.
Legged mobility exoskeleton device with enhanced actuator mechanism employing magnetic/electrical coupling
A joint actuator assembly incudes a motor, a rotating driving member driven by the motor for driving a driven component, and a transmission assembly located between the motor and the rotating driving member that provides speed reduction from the motor to the rotating driving member. The rotating driving member includes a magnetic/electrical coupling comprising a magnetic coupling component configured to magnetically couple with an opposing magnetic coupling of the driven component, and an electrical element configured to provide an electrical connection to an opposing electrical element of the driven component. The actuator and driven component may be combined into a mobility device including a magnetic/electrical coupling system comprising a first magnetic/electrical coupling on the actuator assembly that magnetically and electrically couples to a second magnetic/electrical coupling on the driven component. The magnetic coupling system includes a plurality of magnetic elements located on the first and/or second magnetic/electrical couplings and opposing electrical elements for electrical connection when the actuator assembly and the driven component are joined together.
Tissue Treatment Stick
A tissue treatment stick is disclosed. In an embodiment, the tissue treatment stick includes a treatment section including a vibration generating device, wherein the vibrating generating device is configured to vibrate the treatment section, and wherein the treatment section has at least one edge, the at least one edge extending parallel to a longitudinal axis of the tissue treatment stick.
Apparatus and method of training human brain and body to walk using modular an exoskeleton
A system and method to assist a user to overcome an interruption of service between the brain and the legs including several subsystems configured to be progressively removed to provide decreasing levels of lower trunk and leg support.
Method and device for assisting walking
A walking assistance device and method for providing an assist torque to an ankle of a user is provided. To provide an assist torque to an ankle of a user, the walking assistance device generates a leg image by capturing a second leg using a camera attached to a first leg, determines a gait state of the second leg based on the leg image, determines an assist torque value output to the first leg based on the gait state of the second leg, and controls a driving device such that the assist torque value is output to the first leg.
Compression garment apparatus having baseline pressure
A compression garment apparatus including a compression garment and a pressurizer. The pressurizer intermittently pressurizes a therapeutic bladder on the compression garment and maintains a baseline pressure in the therapeutic bladder to maintain the therapeutic bladder in position with respect to a target compression zone on a body part on which the garment is worn. The baseline pressure is adjusted in response to sensed physical characteristics.
