An aqueous polyurethane resin is a chain-extended product of a neutralized product of an isocyanate group-terminated prepolymer which is a reaction product of (a) an organic polyisocyanate, (b) a polyol, (c) a compound having an anionic hydrophilic group and at least two active hydrogens and (d) a polyhydric alcohol, the chain-extended product being obtained by chain-extending the neutralized product with (e) a polyamine having two or more amino groups and/or imino groups, wherein the polyol contains at least one selected from the group consisting of polycarbonate diols each having a structural unit derived from a diol having a branched structure with an integer of 3 to 10 carbon atoms and polycarbonate diols having a structural unit derived from a diol having a linear structure with an odd number of 3 to 9 carbon atoms, and the polyhydric alcohol contains a polyhydric alcohol having at least three or more active hydrogens.
SYNTHETIC RESIN LEATHER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Synthetic resin leather includes a base material, and a skin layer that is stacked on the base material and is made of a synthetic resin capable of being elastically deformed. Multiple micro recess parts are intermittently and regularly formed on a surface of the skin layer. The multiple micro recess parts form multiple bottom face parts that are located at a substantially constant depth from the surface of the skin layer, and multiple inner side face parts that extend from the surface of the skin layer to the multiple bottom face parts and are capable of being elastically deformed.
FIBROUS MATS AND PANELS HAVING A GYPSUM-BASED COATING AND METHODS FOR THE MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Coated nonwoven fibrous mats, building panels, and methods for making the same are provided. A coated nonwoven fiber mat includes a nonwoven fibrous mat having a continuous barrier coating on a surface thereof. The continuous barrier coating includes a set composition of gypsum and a binder. A building panel includes a panel core associated with a coated nonwoven fiber mat. A method of making a coated nonwoven fibrous mat includes depositing a composition of water, gypsum stucco, and a binder onto a surface of a nonwoven fibrous mat and setting the composition to form a continuous barrier coating.
Acrylic-free conveyor belt
A conveyor belt includes a bottom fabric layer having a lower first surface forming a backside of the conveyor belt and an upper first surface, wherein the lower first surface is impregnated with an impregnation having: a) one or more thermoplastic polyolefins selected from the group consisting of ethene homopolymers, propene homopolymers, ethene/-olefin copolymers, propene/-olefin copolymers and terpolymers of ethene with two or more different -olefins; and b) a thermoplastic polymeric dispersing agent containing repetitive units derived from at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer of a comparatively lipophilic nature and from at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer of a comparatively hydrophilic nature and earring an anionic carboxylate group. A process for the manufacture of such belts includes applying the thermoplastic polyolefin(s) and the thermoplastic polymeric dispersing agent as an aqueous dispersion and heating the lower first surface having the dispersion applied thereonto.
Sag resistant acoustical ceiling panel with a filled latex binder system that enhances strength and durability
Described herein is a building panel comprising a body, the body comprising: a fiber; a latex binder present in an amount ranging from about 3 wt. % to about 10 wt. % based on the total weight of the body; and an inorganic particle having an average particle size ranging from about 1 micron to about 13 microns; wherein the inorganic particle and the binder are present in a weight ratio ranging from about greater than 1:1 to about 6:1.
