Absorbent and protective composition containing an elastomeric copolymer
An improved composition for protecting a vehicle, building, or airplane surface that will be painted or mechanically processed. For example, certain regions of a vehicle, building, or airplane may be masked in accordance with the present disclosure to protect those regions from paint overspray. The composition produces a film which adheres well to a surface to be protected, with few or no pinholes. Additionally, the composition can absorb any oil or grease present on the surface which can eliminate the need for towels and chemical solvents that may create toxic fumes, hazardous waste, and flammable hazards. Further, the material can be removed easily from the surface after use by peeling the film layer away from the surface.
Luminophore coating
The invention relates to stabilized luminophores and in particular to the use thereof in and on textile goods.
AQUEOUS INK JET COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING RECORDING
An aqueous ink jet composition contains a dye composed of at least one of sublimation fluorescent dyes or at least one of disperse fluorescent dyes, polyester, and water. The amount of the polyester is 8 times or more and 300 times or less greater than the amount of the dye. Preferably, the amount of the polyester is 5% by mass or more and 35% by mass or less. Preferably, the amount of the dye is 0.05% by mass or more and 1% by mass or less.
Actuated Electrode Lead in Minimally Invasive Cochlear Implant Surgery
An implantable electrode arrangement for a cochlear implant system is described. An electrode lead contains a lead structure control element configured to control a lead shape of the electrode lead between an insertion state wherein the electrode lead within a mastoid tunnel has a longitudinal lead axis lying entirely along the tunnel axis, and a post-insertion state wherein a facial recess portion of the electrode lead fitting within a limited diameter portion of the mastoid tunnel associated with a facial recess portion of the mastoid bone has a longitudinal lead axis along the tunnel axis, and a storage portion of the electrode lead fitting within an enlarged diameter portion of the mastoid tunnel lateral to the facial recess portion has a longitudinal lead axis coiled in a helical shape radially around the tunnel axis.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes: a first image forming unit that forms a clear toner image with a clear toner; a second image forming unit that forms a color toner image with a color toner; a transfer unit that transfers at least one of the clear toner image and the color toner image onto a medium; and a controller that controls formation of the clear toner image and the color toner image. When the medium is a heat transfer medium and the color toner image is formed on the heat transfer medium, the controller performs control so that the clear toner image is formed on a region where the color toner image is formed and a weight per unit area of the color toner is less than 0.29 mg/cm.sup.2, and a weight per unit area of the clear toner image is 0.15 to 0.55 mg/cm.sup.2.
Chromic luminescent compositions and textiles
A chromic luminescent composition and method for fabricating the composition are disclosed. The chromic luminescent composition comprises at least one or more non-luminescent materials and one or more luminescent materials. The one or more non-luminescent materials having absorption spectra that at least partially overlap with the spectrum of incident electromagnetic radiation. The one or more luminescent materials convert at least a portion of energy of incident electromagnetic radiation to a lower energy wavelength. The one or more non-luminescent materials and the one or more luminescent materials are selected such that, when subsequently exposed to incident electromagnetic radiation, color and brightness are substantially modulated through absorption and emission as a function of incident electromagnetic radiation. Also disclosed are a chromic luminescent textile and a method for fabricating the textile.
COMPOSITE FIBER AND TEXTILE
A composite fiber is provided, which includes a polymer fiber, doped zinc oxide particles dispersed in the polymer fiber or combined with the polymer fiber, and a fluorescent dye combined with the polymer fiber. The light emission wavelength of the doped zinc oxide particles and the light absorption wavelength of the fluorescent dye overlap. The above composite fiber can be manufactured as a yarn and woven into a textile.
Leuco colorants as bluing agents in laundry care compositions
A laundry care composition including: (a) at least one laundry care ingredient and (b) a leuco composition. The laundry care composition after 30 days of storage at 25 C. provides a whiteness benefit to cotton upon washing that is greater than the initial whiteness benefit. Methods of treating textiles with such laundry care compositions.
Ink jet ink composition and recording method
An ink jet ink composition includes one or two or more compounds A selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by Formula (1) and a compound represented by Formula (4), one or two or more compounds B selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by Formula (2), a compound represented by Formula (3), and a compound represented by Formula (5), and water, ##STR00001## (in Formula (1) to Formula (5), R each independently represents NZ.sub.2 or OZ; R each independently represents a hydrogen atom, a sulfate group, or a sulfate; X each independently represents a hydroxyl group or a hydroxide salt; Y each independently represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, or a hydroxide salt; and Z each independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms).
