Systems and methods of processing raw electrocardiogram (ECG) waveform data of a patient into estimated real-time ECG waveform data. The method includes sensing at least one physical non-cardiac influence on the raw ECG waveform data, constructing a time domain computer model of the at least one physical, non-cardiac influence on the raw ECG waveform data, and adaptively filtering the raw ECG waveform data in the time domain using the constructed time domain computer model of the at least one physical non-cardiac influence on the raw ECG waveform data to form the estimated real-time ECG waveform data. The system can include an ECG device for collecting raw ECG waveform data, at least two ECG electrodes positioned on the patient and electrically coupled to the ECG device, and a processor coupled to the ECG device and configured to compute a time domain model of an artifact created by chest compressions.

ELEVATION TIMING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HEAD UP CPR

A method for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) includes elevating the head, heart and shoulders of an individual from a starting elevation angle to a final elevation angle greater than zero degrees relative to horizontal while performing CPR by repeatedly compressing the chest. The method includes elevating the brain within a time period selected to be slow enough to permit a sufficient amount of blood to flow to the brain throughout the elevation time period. The method also includes regulating the intrathoracic pressure of the individual while performing CPR. The performance of chest compressions is stopped and after stopping the performance of chest compressions, the head, heart, and shoulders are promptly from the final elevation angle within a timeframe selected to prevent significant drainage of blood from the brain until the head, heart and shoulders are lowered.

A handheld device configured to provide tactile stimulation to a head of a human user. The handheld device comprises an outer housing sized and shaped to fit ergonomically and substantially within a hand of the human user. The outer housing defines an internal space and skin facing surface for placement adjacent to or proximate the user's head. A controller is contained within internal space of the outer housing, wherein the controller is configured to generate a signal corresponding to a pattern sequence. A vibration unit is in electronic communication with the controller, the vibration unit being configured to be actuated in response to a signal from the controller so as to generate vibrations that correspond to the pattern sequence.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UPDATING PERSONALIZED GAIT POLICY

A walking assistance device may be controlled using a personalized gait policy. A preset event is detected during a current gait cycle based on state information associated with a motion of the walking assistance device, a reward value of state information associated with the motion is evaluated at a point in time at which the event is detected, and a personalized gait policy is updated based on state information associated with the motion when updating of the personalized gait policy is determined to be required based on the reward value.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OUTPUTTING TORQUE OF WALKING ASSISTANCE DEVICE

A method and device for outputting a torque of a walking assistance device is provided. The method and device may determine a degree of progress in a gait cycle based on data received through wireless communication, calculate a torque corresponding to the determined degree of progress, and output the torque to a driver of the walking assistance device. However, when the data received through wireless communication is not updated data, the method and device may determine reference data based on a reference pattern, and update the data using the determined reference data.
