Formulations having benzoate dye carriers for meta-aramid articles

Glycol ether benzoates, glycol benzoates and methyl benzoate facilitate the dyeing of the meta-aramid article, e.g., fibers, at or near neutral pH. The addition of an anionic surfactant, such as sodium lauryl sulfate, enhances the performance of the benzoates.

Method for Treatment of Substrates

The invention provides a method for the application of a bleaching agent to a substrate, the method comprising the treatment of the substrate in an aqueous system comprising a liquid bleaching agent in a closed container, the treatment being carried out at a ratio of liquor to substrate which does not exceed 3:1. Typically, the method is applied to the bleaching of textile fibres and may optionally comprise a bleaching and scouring treatment. The invention also provides a method for the removal of surplus bleaching agents following the bleaching treatment, the method comprising not more than three aqueous wash-off treatments of the substrate. In addition to facilitating the use of much reduced liquor levels, the method also allows for significant reductions to be achieved in usage levels of bleaching agents, auxiliary agents and rinsing agents, thereby reducing generation of waste liquors requiring disposal. Furthermore, treatment temperatures are also significantly lower than for prior art methods, providing yet further benefits in environmental and cost terms.

The present invention provides a novel pretreating agent to improve the effect of ink-jet printing on polyester fabric and its application, and this invention belongs to the field of digital ink-jet printing. Stirring the dispersing agent, which includes many procedures of wetting agent and deionized water in a stirrer, adding nano-porous oxide dispersoid. Furthermore, keep stirring for 30 min and put the mixture in a sand mill to grinded for 2 h, then nano-porous oxide dispersoid is eventually got. The nano-porous oxide dispersoid work as pretreating agent, which used in the polyester fabric, is treated like pretreating agent during the padding process. By applying this technique into double-sided permeation ink-jet printing and direct-injection ink-jet printing, its pattern's definition, colour depth and colour saturation could be remarkable enhanced. This method has many advantages such as the craft is easy to handle as well as the operation is simplified, it is also suitable for batch production of the polyester fabric.

A dye discharge composition exhibiting extended shelf life and/or pot life and high suitability for inkjet printing on dyed substrates, is disclosed. The composition comprises a reducing agent such as, for example, a sulfur-based reducing agent, and a chelating agent, such as a sodium salt of a polyamino carboxylic acid chelating agent. Use of the dye discharge composition in combination with a translucent colored composition and an optional opaque underbase composition, for forming an image on a dyed substrate is also disclosed. Processes for inkjet printing of an image on a dyed surface using the dye discharge composition, kits for use in such processes or an ink formulation containing same are also disclosed.

Use of reactive cross-linking agents for protein-containing substrates and processes for tanning and dyeing of leather

The present invention relates to the use of reactive colourless and metal-free protein cross-linking agents for the cross-linking (tanning) of protein-containing substrates, said agents are environmentally friendly and give an improved fixation yield, a long-term cross-linking (tanning) stability and good washing off properties. The present invention further relates to processes for the cross-linking (tanning) of protein-containing substrates thereby creating an environmentally friendly process which minimizes the use of chemicals and further improves the quality and efficiency of the tanning and dyeing process. ##STR00001##

Method for producing denim-effect garments

A method is disclosed for producing denim-effect garments by the following steps: 1) printing a reactive dye ink onto a PET film to form a pattern thereby obtaining a transfer printed PET film; 2) transfer printing a base pulp-treated fabric by attaching the transfer printed PET film thereby obtaining a denim-effect fabric; 3) cutting, sewing, washing to soften, and drying the denim-effect fabric and thereby obtaining a denim-effect garment. The method has the advantages of simple production, being environmentally friendly, having high efficiency, and being suitable for flexible fabrics, and the produced denim-effect garment of the invention has the advantages of having a good color fastness to rubbing, washing resistance, and having a diversity of patterns, and are suitable for large-scale production and application.

Reactive digital printing methods and systems, printed fabric obtained thereby and related clothing items

A reactive digital printing method can be performed with the following steps: 1) applying a primer to a fabric to be printed; (2) applying an ink containing a dye with multi-reactive groups to the fabric to be printed in step (1); (3) steaming and coloring, washing, dehydrating and shaping the fabric in step (2), to obtain a printed product.
