SEXUAL STIMULATING SYSTEM AND METHOD WITH FEEDBACK CONTROL
A sexual stimulating system with feedback control includes a physiological sensor, a sexual stimulator, and a processing module. The physiological sensor measures a physiological response of a user under sexual stimulation, and generates a sensor signal according to a result of the measurement of the physiological response. The sexual stimulator applies the sexual stimulation. The processing module is electrically connected to the physiological sensor and the sexual stimulator, receives the sensor signal, performs an analytical procedure upon the sensor signal for generating digital data, and generates a driving signal according to the digital data to control a degree of the sexual stimulation.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STIMULATING SWALLOWING
A device includes a first vibrational transducer and a second vibrational transducer. The first vibrational transducer has a first vibrating property. The second vibrotactile stimulator has a second vibrating property different than the first vibrating property. A collar may be configured to position the first vibrational transducer and the second vibrational transducer over a neck of a subject. A method for stimulating swallowing in a subject includes applying a first vibrotactile stimulation and applying a second vibrotactile stimulation to a throat area of the subject. The first vibrotactile stimulation has a first vibrating property and the second vibrotactile stimulation has a second vibrating property different than the first vibrating property. Example vibrating properties include vibrating frequency, vibrating frequency range, wave shape, continuousness, frequency phase, and direction of mechanical force.
INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) REAL-TIME RESPONSE TO DEFINED SYMPTOMS
Systems, computer-implemented methods and/or computer program products that facilitate real-time response to defined symptoms are provided. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method comprises: monitoring, by a system operatively coupled to a processor, a state of an entity; detecting, by the system, defined symptoms of the entity by analyzing the state of the entity; and transmitting, by the system, a signal that causes audio response or a haptic response to be provided to the entity, wherein transmission of the signal that causes the audio response or the haptic response is based on detection of the defined symptoms.
Defibrillator Display Including CPR Depth Information
Systems and methods related to the field of cardiac resuscitation, and in particular to devices for assisting rescuers in performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are described herein.
THERAPEUTIC TECHNIQUE USING ELECTRICAL IMPEDANCE SPECTROSCOPY
Systems and methods of monitoring medical therapies performed by wearable devices using electrical probes. In one example, a pulmonary physiotherapy device implements a treatment protocol function gated and modulated using electrical impedance sensors and metrics. The sensors operate to measure electrical impedance of bodily tissue. An electronic controller controls operation of the wearable device. The medical therapy can be modified based on the impedance measurements to maximize efficacy.
Vibratory Cough Suppression
An apparatus comprises a vibrational transducer, a placement band, a driver module and a control module. The placement band is configured to hold the vibrational transducer adjacent to the skin surface overlying the cricoid cartilage and trachea region of a patient's neck. The driver module is configured to apply a drive signal to the vibrational transducer. The control module is configured to receive at least one input configured to provide vibrational operating information and control the driver module to cause the vibrational transducer to apply a vibratory stimulation in an amount determined, at least in part, by the vibrational operating information.
Wrist-worn device for coordinating patient care
A feedback device for an acute care provider includes: at least one motion sensor; a haptic output component for providing feedback having a varying haptic pattern to the acute care provider regarding performance of a resuscitation activity; and a controller. The controller can be configured to receive and process a signal representative of performance of the resuscitation activity from the at least one motion sensor, compare the acute care provider's performance of the resuscitation activity to a target performance of the resuscitation activity, and cause the haptic output component to provide haptic feedback to the acute care provider by changing the haptic pattern based, at least in part, on the signal from the at least one motion sensor and the comparison of the acute care provider's performance to the target performance of the resuscitation activity. The device can be adapted to be wrist-worn by the acute care provider.
METHOD FOR PROVIDING MENTAL MASSAGE TO HELP TREAT ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION, AND MASSAGE DEVICE
Disclosed are a method and a device for providing a mental massage to help treat anxiety and depression. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a massage device for providing a mental massage to help treat anxiety and depression is disclosed, the device including: a mental state determination unit for determining a mental state on the basis of a biosignal of a user; a mental massage pattern determination unit for determining a mental massage pattern on the basis of the determined mental state; and a mental massage provision unit for providing a massage on the basis of the mental massage pattern.
Method and system for predicting successful treatment methods and outcomes of bodily tissue disorders based on energy activity of the tissue
A method of predicting successful treatment of disorders of bodily tissue includes obtaining, with a device, energy signal data from the bodily tissue of a patient. The obtained energy signal data is analyzed in a controller to determine an activity score value associated with the bodily tissue. The activity score value is compared, in the controller, to a threshold value, with the threshold value being based on energy signal data from the same bodily tissue of normal, disease free patients. Based on the comparison, a probability of success of a particular therapy in treating the bodily tissue is determined. A system for performing the method is also disclosed.
SYSTEM, DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING COMPRESSION THERAPY IN SYNCHRONIZATION WITH BREATHING CYCLE
Provided herein is an inflatable compression vest for performing compression therapy to a subject afflicted with a respiratory related condition, wherein the vest includes at least one column of inflatable bladders, linearly arranged whereby for each three consecutive bladders, a top bladder and a bottom bladder at least partially overlaps with a middle intervening bladder. Further provided are controller device configured to control operation of the compression vest in accordance with the breathing cycle of a subject, systems and methods of using the same.
