ELECTROCHEMICAL REACTOR AND ITS CLEANING OR REGENERATION
An electrochemical reactor suitable for reducing dye to leucodye, comprises at least four electrolytic cells, wherein the electrolytic cells are provided in the form of at least two stacks of at least two electrolytic cells each such that one stack at a time can be separated for cathode or anode regeneration during suspension preparation.
Photocatalytic method of discharge printing for producing colorful patterns on previously dyed textiles
A photocatalytic method of colored discharge printing for producing colorized patterns on textiles includes over dyeing textiles with illuminant dyes and ground shade dyes respectively, manufacturing patterned printing plates with hollow-out decorative patterns, applying a photocatalyst on the over-dyed textiles through the hollow-outs, using a photocatalytic method of colored discharge printing to produce localized discoloration of the ground shade while leaving the illuminant dyes on the textile which produces an effect of colorized patterns on the textiles. The method has the characteristics of being a simple process with a simple apparatus and has short processing, easy control and wide adaptability. The method eliminates the needs for printing pastes and expensive printing apparatus used in the complicated process in a conventional printing method.
Three-dimensional rendering preview of laser-finished garments
A tool allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs in three dimensions before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. Based on a laser input file with a pattern, a laser will burn the pattern onto apparel. With the tool, the user will be able to create, make changes, and view images of a design, in real time, before burning by a laser. The tool can be accessed or executes via a Web browser.
METHOD FOR COLORING A SUBSTRATE USING ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE PLASMA POLYMERIZATION
Methods for coloration of substrates, including textiles, by plasma polymerization of dyes to which polymerizable moieties have been chemically bonded at sites on the dye capable of bonding to such moieties, and that have been deposited on at least one surface of the substrate, are described. Atmospheric pressure plasmas were used for the polymerization process. Generally, the plasma polymerization is performed away from the dye deposition so that undeposited dye is not exposed to the plasma. Textiles may include cotton, polyester, wool, silk, acrylics, polypropylene, polyolefins, aramids, and nylon, and blends thereof. The plasma-polymerizable moiety may be chosen from acrylates, methacrylates, and vinyl amides. Dye functional groups may include hydroxyl groups, carboxyl groups, amines: primary, secondary, and tertiary, epoxides, carboxylic acids, and chlorides, and dyes may include acid dyes, disperse dyes, azo dyes, vat dyes, sulfur dyes, direct dyes, reactive dyes, basic dyes, pigment dyes, aniline dyes, anthraquinone dyes, and coumarin dyes, as examples.
Garments with finishing patterns created by laser and neural network
Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. A technique includes using machine learning to create or extract a laser input file for wear pattern from an existing garment. Machine learning can be by a generative adversarial network, having generative and discriminative neural nets. The generative adversarial network is trained and then used to create a model. This model is used generate the laser input file from an image of the existing garment with the finishing pattern. With this laser input file, a laser can re-create the wear pattern from the existing garment onto a new garment.
Clothing with enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing
A fabric has enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing. The fabric can be denim for denim apparel such as jeans. Software and lasers are used to finish apparel made of the fabric to produce a desired wear or distressing pattern or other design. The fabric allows for relatively fast color change in response to the laser, color changes in hue from indigo blue to white, many grayscale levels, and maintains strength and stretch properties. A method used to make the fabric includes spinning, dyeing, and weaving yarns in such a way to obtain the desired enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing.
DYE DISCHARGE FLUID
An example of a dye discharge fluid includes a water-soluble organic solvent, a heat activated reducing agent, and water. A pH of the dye discharge fluid is less than 7. The dye discharge fluid may be used with a colored pigmented inkjet ink, a white pigmented inkjet ink, and/or a colored textile fabric, and may be included in a fluid set and/or a printing kit.
Jeans with Laser Finishing Patterns Created by Neural Network
Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. A technique includes using machine learning to create or extract a laser input file for wear pattern from an existing garment. Machine learning can be by a generative adversarial network, having generative and discriminative neural nets. The generative adversarial network is trained and then used to create a model. This model is used generate the laser input file from an image of the existing garment with the finishing pattern. With this laser input file, a laser can re-create the wear pattern from the existing garment onto a new garment.
METHOD FOR TEXTILE PRINTING
A method is presented for direct digital printing on a textile substrate utilizing a two-step pretreatment comprising a plasma pretreatment and a heat pretreatment step followed by inkjet printing on the textile and a final heat treatment step.
Three-Dimensional Preview of Design of Laser-Finished Garments
A tool allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs in three dimensions before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. Based on a laser input file with a pattern, a laser will burn the pattern onto apparel. With the tool, the user will be able to create, make changes, and view images of a design, in real time, before burning by a laser. Input to the tool includes fabric template images, laser input files, and damage input. The tool allows adding of tinting and adjusting of intensity and bright point. The user can also move, rotate, scale, and warp the image input.
