TENSIONING CABLE SPREADING DEVICE AND TENSIONING CABLE LUBRICATION DEVICE AND METHOD
A device for spreading a multi-stranded tensioning cable, in particular steel tensioning cables, comprising a main body having a feedthrough opening for the entire tensioning cable, and a number of spreading elements which are arranged radially movably in the main body and each have a contour which is of a configuration tapering inwardly in the radial direction for engaging and producing a gap between respectively adjacent strands of the tensioning cable.
Method for production of a closed-loop cable by splicing
The present invention provides a production method for a closed-loop cable. The method includes the steps of providing a cable including a core and metal strands helically wound around the core, connecting two ends of the cable in splice areas via splice knots formed by ends of each metal strand, inserting the metal strand ends inside the cable after locally removing the core and subsequently overmolding each splice area using a polymer.
Apparatus for selectively opening up a portion of a cable
An apparatus (10) for selectively opening up a portion of a cable (12) is provided. The apparatus (10) includes a first guide (14) arranged to receive a core (16) of the cable (12). A second guide (18, 20) is spaced laterally apart from the first guide (14) and is arranged to receive one or more outer wires (22, 24) of the cable (12). The second guide (18, 20) is also arranged to draw a portion of the one or more outer wires (22, 24) of the cable (12) away from the core (16) of the cable (12) as the cable (12) is passed through the apparatus (10) when in use.

ROPE HAVING A SPLICED EYE, CORRESPONDING METHOD OF FORMING AN EYE AND USE OF THE ROPE
Rope having an eye. The rope comprises a first rope portion and a second rope portion. The first rope portion and the second rope portion are spliced into each other for forming a spliced connection for obtaining the eye. The first rope portion and the second rope portion are formed from an end portion of the rope.

FID FOR ROPE SPLICING
A fid is made of separate components that can be easily assembled and disassembled by the user. In this manner the fid components can be easily stored or transported and then assembled when needed to create a fid of sufficient length to splice a synthetic rope or other types of rope. The fid includes an elongate shaft or needle with a first that tapers to a point. The opposing end of the shaft may be machined to form a connection structure. A coupler may have an elongate form with two opposing ends along a center axis. One end of the coupler removable attaches to the needle at the connection structure. The second end of the coupler permanently attaches to a rope holder, which may take the form of a cylindrical, helically wound braid of thin wire cable forming a wire basket.
Rope having a spliced eye, corresponding method of forming an eye and use of the rope
Rope (4) having an eye (2). The rope (4) comprises a first rope portion (8) and a second rope portion (10). The first rope portion (8) and the second rope portion (10) are spliced into each other for forming a spliced connection for obtaining the eye (2). The first rope portion (8) and the second rope portion (10) are formed from an end portion of the rope (4).

Twisted pair organizing tool
A twisted pair organizing tool is disclosed. The twisted pair organizing tool includes a body, a first and a second hole. The first and the second hole can be pressed so as to change the inner diameters thereof. When a first and a second cable are in a twisted state, the body is rotated in reverse to untwist and cause the first and a second cable to enter the first and the second hole, respectively. Once the first and the second cable have entered the first and the second hole by a predetermined length, a first end of the body is pressed such that the first and the second hole are tightly combined with the first and the second cable, and the first and the second cable are pulled out such that the first and the second cable are straightened.
