A smart line sensor
The invention relates to a sensor device for insertion and for measuring tension within a braided, plaited and/or laid line. The sensor device comprises an elongated sensor housing having an outer housing surface and an inner housing surface and at least one pressure sensor arranged inside the elongated sensor housing. The outer housing surface having a substantially elliptic or circular cross sectional area around the longitudinal axis of the sensor housing. Further, the at least one pressure sensor is configured to allow measurement, at least indirectly, of a pressure exerted on the outer housing surface. The invention also relates to a line sensor assembly for mooring of one or more structures, and a method of adjusting the tension in a line sensor assembly and the use of a line sensor assembly.
BEND FATIGUE RESISTANT BLENDED ROPE
Disclosed is a blended rope having an outer sheath (8) enclosing at least a strength member (7), the strength member (7) having high-strength synthetic fibers, the strength member (7) being a blended strength member (7) formed with a combination of ARAMID fibers and HMPE fibers, the blended strength member comprising a non-homogeneous distribution of the ARAMID and HMPE fibers, wherein the weight ratio of ARAMID to HMPE in the strength member (7) is preferably a minimum of 80:20.
Braided tire material
The various embodiments relate to pneumatic tires including a cap ply of braided strands of yarn. Various embodiments relate to strands of yarn that are fiberglass filaments or steel. The braided strands may include a tight braid or a loose braid. Various embodiments include braids having 1 to 5 stitches per cm.

ELASTICALLY DEFORMABLE STRING
A string includes an outer layer and a core material placed inside the outer layer, wherein: the outer layer comprises knob parts that are constituted by outer layer yarns woven loosely, and link parts that are constituted by outer layer yarns woven densely and also having a smaller diameter than the knob parts, wherein the knob parts of the outer layer are elastically deformable; and the core material is constituted by a stretchable string and placed inside the knob parts in a slackened and/or meandering state. The above string features an elastically deformable string that does not require knots, is to allow the string, after it has been deformed, to restore its original shape by stronger elastic forces.
Rubber core cord joining structure, and solidifying agent for joining rubber core cord
The present invention provides a joining structure with a joining strength higher than that of a conventional rubber core cord joining structure of a rubber ring. The invention also provides a solidifying agent for joining a rubber core cord that provides such a joining structure. A joining structure 2 of a rubber core cord 11 according to the present invention is a rubber core cord joining structure of which opposite end portions of the rubber core cord 11 or end portions of two rubber core cords are joined to each other with an adhesive. A solidified portion 23 formed by a solidifying agent 25 that has solidified is formed at each of the opposite end portions of the rubber core cord 11 or each of the end portions of the two rubber core cords, and the solidified portion 23 contains porous particles. The solidifying agent 25 according to the present invention is a solidifying agent that is applied to the rubber core cord 11, and contains a solvent containing a solidification component and porous particles contained in the solvent.
Braiding apparatus for braiding broad tape
A braiding apparatus for forming braided tubing comprises a braiding wheel and a plurality of bobbins. The plurality of bobbins are configured to move circumferentially around the braiding wheel. Each bobbin includes a spool, a first pulley assembly, and a second pulley assembly. The spool is configured to hold a tow formed from a braiding material. The first pulley assembly is coupled to the spool at a first distance from the spool. The first pulley assembly is configured to facilitate passing the tow over a pulley of the first pulley assembly. The second pulley assembly is coupled to the spool at a second distance that is less than the first distance. The second pulley assembly is configured to facilitate receiving the tow from the first pulley assembly and passing the tow over a pulley of the second pulley assembly and towards a section of the braiding apparatus at which a plurality of tows come together to form the braided tubing.
RENEWABLE NATURAL FIBER FISHING LINE
The disclosure provides embodiments of a fishing line that includes renewable natural fibers, and a renewable natural coating. Some of the embodiments of the disclosed fishing line include, for example, a single strand line, or a braided or plaited line made from multiple threads, strands or yarns. Other embodiments of the disclosed fishing line are degradable over a predetermined timeline. These embodiments are preferred because of the low environmental impact of the disclosed fishing lines.

The invention is directed to a synthetic hoisting rope comprising a solid core surrounded by a first braided layer of a first set of strands that is surrounded by a second braided layer of a second set of strands.
SYNTHETIC ROPE
A synthetic rope (20) comprises a core (22) and at least a first layer surrounding the core (22). The first layer has first layer strands (26). The core has a fluted outer surface with spaced apart helical concave grooves. Each of these grooves contacts one of the first layer strands (26). The grooves have a radius of curvature (24) that is greater than the radius of curvature (14) of a circle having a same diameter as the contacting first layer strand before twisting.
