At least one of the application apparatuses comprises an ion apparatus to supply ionized air into the interior space. A method for operating the device for cosmetic application includes: recording, via the operating unit, user data, the user data include weight, age, and height of a user; determining application parameters from the user data, the application parameters including an application duration and an application intensity of individual ones of the application apparatuses; creating an application plan for coordinating individual cosmetic applications by the individual one of the application apparatuses, including a temporal sequence of applications; and controlling the individual one of the application apparatuses using the application plan.
