COMPRESSION APPARATUS AND SYSTEMS FOR CIRCULATORY-RELATED DISORDERS
A garment for providing circulatory-related disorder therapy includes a skin contacting layer, a backing layer, and a coupling. The backing layer is coupled to the skin contacting layer such that the skin contacting layer and the backing layer form a plurality of macro-chambers. A first one of the plurality of macro-chambers is partitioned into a plurality of micro-chambers. Each of the plurality of micro-chambers is in direct fluid communication with at least one other of the plurality of micro-chambers. The coupling is coupled to the backing layer and is configured to supply pressurized air directly into the first macro-chamber such that the pressurized air is delivered to a first one of the plurality of micro-chambers of the first macro-chamber.
ELECTRO-ACTUATABLE COMPRESSION GARMENTS WITH SHAPE MEMORY ELEMENTS
A compression garment having one or more flex frames that can be shortened or lengthened to apply or release a compressive force to the limb or other anatomical feature of a user. The compression garment can have a wire made of shape memory material (shape memory alloy). A controller of the compression garment can supply an electrical input to the wire, generating heat that can cause the wire to contract such that the flex frame deflects to a shorter length to apply a compressive force to the limb or other anatomical feature of the user. The one or more flex frames can be contracted in unison or in sequence to direct the flow of bodily fluids in the limb or other anatomical feature of the user.
SPINAL TRACTION DEVICE
A spinal traction device may include a base frame, a waist bed part on the upper side of the base frame to be movable up and down, an upper body bed part connected to one side of the waist bed part, and a lower body bed part connected to the other side of the waist bed part. The upper body bed part and the lower body bed part may be rotated with respect to the waist bed part as the waist bed part is raised and lowered. The lower body bed part may include a first lower body bed member and a second lower body bed member, the second lower body bed member is horizontally movable in the longitudinal direction of the lower body bed portion with respect to the first lower body bed member and is horizontally movable or rotatable in the width direction.
Walking assistant device deformable based on thigh shape
A walking assistance device deformable based on a thigh shape includes a hip joint actuator, an upper thigh frame connected to the hip joint actuator and configured to receive power from the hip joint actuator and rotate about a first axis and rotate about a second axis intersecting the first axis, a motion frame connected to the upper thigh frame, the motion frame including a plurality of segment frames configured to rotate relative to each other, and a lower thigh frame connected to the motion frame.
STIMULATION METHOD, IN PARTICULAR LASER ACUPUNCTURE
The invention relates to a method for the stimulation, in particular laser acupuncture, of a test person (1) in a specified body region (10), wherein—a number of reference stimulation points (RS.sub.1, RS.sub.2, RS.sub.3) are specified with respect to a reference (R), in particular a three-dimensional reference, of the body region (10) to be stimulated, —an image (A), in particular a three-dimensional image, of the surface of the test person's (1) body region (10) to be stimulated is captured, points (P.sub.1, P.sub.2, P.sub.3) are specified and/or ascertained in the captured image (A), the relative position of said points in the image (A) corresponding to the relative position of the reference stimulation points (RS.sub.1, RS.sub.2, RS.sub.3) on the reference (R), —the stimulation points (S.sub.1, S.sub.2, S.sub.3) to be stimulated corresponding to the points (P.sub.1, P.sub.2, P.sub.3) in the image are ascertained on the surface of the body region (10), —at least one stimulation unit (4) is automatically aligned with at least one of the ascertained stimulation points (S.sub.1, S.sub.2, S.sub.3) to be stimulated of the body region (10), and—the at least one stimulation point (S.sub.1, S.sub.2, S.sub.3) to be stimulated is stimulated by means of the stimulation unit (4).
Method of body scanning detection for advanced robotic massage chairs
A massage chair includes a back massage system and a thigh massage system with a roller mechanism configured to move a roller in a three dimensional orbital motion. The roller mechanism is driven by a single motor that can change the direction in operation. Also included is a roller motion drive element within the roller mechanism. A shaft is configured to pass through the roller motion drive element in an offset non-perpendicular angle relative to the end face thereby forming an angle between the shaft and the end face that is less than 85 degrees. The offset causes the orbital motion of the roller when rotated. The electronics of the massage chair facilitate facial recognition and a medical assessment device to detect bodily characteristics. The backrest of the massage chair can elongate to stretch the user. A plurality of airbags are also available for the twisting of the user.
