A blister pack includes a housing having a plurality of cavities and a multi-layer film sealed to the housing and enclosing the cavities, the multi-layer film including a base layer, at least one security element, and a heat protective layer. The heat protective layer is comprised of one of an amorphous polymer material or a semi-crystalline polymer material and is positioned to insulate the at least one security element from heat applied to the heat protective layer during heat sealing of the multi-layer film to the housing, the heat protective layer functioning as a heat sink for protection of the at least one security element during heat sealing of the multi-layer film to the housing.

PLURAL-MODE AUTOMATIC MEDICAMENT PACKAGING SYSTEM
20230136271 · 2023-05-04 ·

A plural-mode automatic medicament packaging system. In embodiments, the system may include an automatic dispensing machine including an automatic medicament dispensing unit and may further include pouch packaging and blister package packaging units. The medicament dispensing unit may include one or more storage and dispensing units which store and dispense medicaments. Medicaments output from the medicament dispensing unit may be packaged in a pouch package by the pouch packaging unit. Alternatively, a diverter may direct medicaments output from the medicament dispensing unit to the pouch package packaging unit for packaging in a blister package. A single automatic medicament packaging system can package medicaments in different types of packaging providing a pharmacy with the opportunity to package medicaments in the form of packaging most appropriate to meet patient needs.

ALLERGEN DOSAGE FORM

The invention provides allergen containing pharmaceutical products and in particular fast-dispersing solid allergen dosage forms. In particular, fast-dispersing, non-compressed solid dosage forms suitable for oromucosal administration comprising a matrix and at least one allergen are provided. Suitable matrices are gelatine, starch and mannitol. Methods for the dosage forms are also provided.

Strengthened blister pack

This invention relates to a strengthened blister pack for the packaging of solid pharmaceutical forms and/or food supplements, in particular solid pharmaceutical forms and/or food supplements that are not very hard and are highly friable.

PECVD coated pharmaceutical packaging

An article or vessel is described including a vessel surface and a coating set comprising at least one tie coating, at least one barrier coating, and at least one pH protective coating. For example, the coating set can comprise a tie coating, a barrier coating, a pH protective coating and a second barrier coating; and in the presence of a fluid composition, the fluid contacting surface is the barrier coating or layer. The respective coatings can be applied by PECVD of a polysiloxane precursor. Such vessels can have a coated interior portion containing a fluid with a pH of 4 to 8. The barrier coating prevents oxygen from penetrating into the thermoplastic vessel, and the tie coating and pH protective coating together protect the barrier layer from the contents of the vessel. The second barrier coating is comparable to glass surface if needed.

In an example, monitoring circuitry includes a first and a second coupling to electrically connect the monitoring circuitry to a monitored circuit having a resistance. The resistance of the monitored circuit may be indicative of a status, and the monitored circuit may be connected in series between the first and second coupling. The first coupling comprises a plurality of galvanically separated connection elements which are to form an electrical connection with a common connection element of the monitored circuit. The monitoring circuitry further comprises a monitoring apparatus to determine the resistance of the monitored circuit via the first coupling and the second coupling. The monitoring apparatus is to acquire a plurality of electrical values and to use the plurality of electrical values to determine a value of the resistance of the monitored circuit.

Medication counterfeit detection

A device for detecting a tampering of a product in a product packaging material. The device comprises a network of sensors integrated into the product packaging material; a microcontroller, the microcontroller configured to detect, by accessing the sensors of the sensor network, the tampering of the product packaging material; and a communication device for relaying information regarding a status of the product packaging material.

A method for monitoring the filling of a medication dispenser that comprises a first and a second container for receiving a strip of medication packages. In the method a taking time of the first medication package of the second strip inserted into the second container is compared with a taking time of the last medication package of the first strip inserted into the first container, in order to determine if the delivery of medication packages can be continued after the first strip with the second strip. The invention also relates to a medication dispenser.

Child-resistant packaging container and blank

A childproof and senior friendly packaging container having a housing defining a chamber for removably receiving a blister card or sheet. The blister card includes a blister or node on its end to engage a pair of slots within the housing sleeve to retain the blister card in a stored position and an extended position. The node may include a sloped rear surface to allow the blister card to be returned to a stored position. Squeezing the sides of the housing about the interior slot biases both the top panel of the housing and the panels defining the slot to release the node from the slot to allow the blister card to be withdrawn. A removable display panel may be attached to the packaging container to facilitate placement of the container in point of purchase displays while not interfering with the ability of consumers to access the contents. A cover with a tuck flap may be used to selectively cover the open end of the packaging container.
