Self-disinfecting medication vial cap assembly
A self-disinfecting medication vial cap assembly for a medication vial includes a needle-penetrable assembly base configured for attachment to the medication vial; an assembly cap carried by the assembly base, the assembly base and the assembly cap having a cap interior and the assembly cap positional between closed and open positions; a rupturable antiseptic pouch attached to the assembly base and the assembly cap in the cap interior; and an antiseptic contained in the antiseptic pouch. The antiseptic pouch remains intact in the closed position of the assembly cap. The antiseptic pouch ruptures and the antiseptic is discharged onto the assembly base upon movement of the assembly cap from the closed position to the open position.
Combination Medicine Containers and Dispensers
A combination medicine container and dispenser allows a user to select one of a plurality of medicament compartments to selectively dispense a single medicament of the medicaments held in the container at a time through easy manipulation of a selectively locking dispensing means. A rotating dispensary at a bottom of the bottle allows rotation of the dispensary relative to the bottle structure(s) for transfer of a single medicament from the bottle to the dispensary, and out of the bottle. The dispensary has several compartments, each dimensioned for a differently sized medicament to dispense medicaments of different sizes from the bottle. An insert has removable segments corresponding to the compartments of the dispensary providing selection of medicament dispensing compartment.
Closure locking assembly
A locking assembly for a closure system having a first vertical member configured to extend downward along a sidewall of a closure and including a first hook element and a second hook element. A second vertical member having a first hook element and a second hook element is configured to be connected to the first vertical member such that the second vertical member extends downward along an opposite side of the sidewall of the closure from the first vertical member. When the locking assembly is installed on the closure system in a locked position, the first and second vertical members are dimensioned and configured so that the first hook elements are disposed above opposing sides of a top surface of the closure and the second hook elements are disposed beneath opposing sides of the sidewall of the closure for preventing the closure from being removed from the container.
Flow restrictor
Flow restrictors for use with a syringe or without a syringe are disclosed for dispensing a liquid medicine for an infant or child. The flow restrictors include a cover having a raised ring, a sleeve for insertion into a bottle, a self-sealing orifice for dispensing the medicine and including an annular cylinder having vertical supports or ribs which extend outward and engage the inside wall of the sleeve. The sleeve includes one or more external protrusions.
CONTAINER AND CLOSURE
A closure for dispensing one or more active agents into a container comprises a sealed or sealable chamber having a breakable wall and a hollow piston slidably mounted in a piston guide. Said hollow piston comprises an outer wall having an end in the chamber and at least one ventilation aperture. Said end has a cutting formation. Said hollow piston is slidable in the piston guide between a ventilation position in which the at least one ventilation aperture allows ventilation of the chamber and a sealed position in which the at least one ventilation aperture is sealed to prevent ventilation of the chamber and a deployed position in which the cutting formation has broken through at least a portion of the breakable wall. The outer wall has a retaining formation which engages with the piston guide to releasably resist sliding of the hollow piston between the ventilation position and the sealed position and the deployed position. The hollow piston may have an outer wall, and said outer wall has an end within the chamber, facing the breakable wall, wherein the cutting end has a first edge having a cutting formation and a gap in said cutting formation.
LIQUID TRANSFER DEVICES FOR USE WITH INTRAVENOUS (IV) BOTTLES
A liquid transfer device is provided having a trifurcated body that includes a vial adapter at a first end configured to telescopically mount on the crown of an IV bottle to puncture a stopper in the crown with a cannula, an IV port extending from an opposing second end of the trifurcated body, and a needleless self-sealing port extending from a third end of the trifurcated body and configured to couple with the male connector of an additive transfer device. Methods of using the liquid transfer device with an IV bottle, additive transfer device, and an infusion set to prepare an infusion liquid for administration to a patient are also provided.
CONTAINERS, COMPOSITIONS, AND METHODS RELATED TO CANNABINOID ANIONS
Various aspects of this patent document relate cannabinoid anions including methods to produce cannabinoid anions, compositions comprising cannabinoid anions, containers that contain compositions comprising cannabinoid anions, and methods to consume cannabinoid anions.
FOOD ARRANGEMENT
A food arrangement with at least one receptacle which is filled with a liquid, sterile food; a connector, which is introduced into the receptacle and has a pierced membrane arranged in a filler neck; and a tamper-evident seal, which is connected to the connector and closes the filler neck. A sterile food arrangement is thus made available, without the need for final autoclaving of the entire filled receptacle.
LOW TEMPERATURE VIALS AND VIAL ASSEMBLIES
Vials and vial assemblies for storing a medicament in low temperature environments are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a vial is provided that includes a base portion and a finish portion. The finish portion has an outer surface and an inner surface, in which the inner surface defines a channel that is configured to receive a first portion of a deformable sealing member. The finish portion on the outer surface thereof includes a surface feature that is configured to engage with a second portion of the deformable sealing member. The surface feature is configured to remain engaged with the second portion of the deformable sealing member when the deformable sealing member contracts from a first configuration to a second configuration, thereby maintaining a seal between the finish portion and the deformable sealing member.
Apparatus, System and Method for Fluid Delivery
A filling aid. The filling aid includes a locking portion including a groove feature; and a locking feature having a locked and an unlocked position; and a filling syringe holder slidably attached to the locking portion, the filling syringe holder including a filling needle cradle portion having a tongue feature; and a needle housing portion comprising at least one tab having a starting position and a filling position, wherein the groove feature configured to accommodate the tongue feature, and wherein the locking feature interact with the filling syringe holder wherein when the locking feature moves from the locked position to the unlocked position the needle housing portion moves from the starting position to the filling position.
