Locking top for vessel having a neck
A locking top for blocking a stopper in the neck of a vessel comprises an outer body and a cage that is configured to fit into and lock axially in the outer body. The cage comprises an upper ring, a plurality n of branches connected to the upper ring, n/2 median bridges and n/2 lower bridges arranged in alternation on the periphery of the cage, each connecting together two adjacent branches. When the top is in an intermediate holding position in which the stopper is partially pushed into the neck, the lower bridges surround, at least in part, a collar of the neck; the median bridges located, in an axial direction, between the upper ring and the lower bridges are designed to form an open space between them and the collar.
DRUG SECURITY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present disclosure provides an injectable medication security device. The device may comprise a recess on a first portion of the device. The recess may be configured to receive and couple to a neck portion of a vial containing the injectable medication. The device may comprise an opening on a second portion of the device, to permit access to a penetrable cover of the vial. The device may comprise at least one aperture configured to control access to the opening. The device may comprise a depressible switch. The depressible switch may be configured to cause the at least one aperture to open and provide access to the opening when the depressible switch is depressed, thereby permitting the medication to be drawn from the vial. The depressible switch may be configured to cause the at least one aperture to lock and close the opening when the depressible switch is released.
CLAM SHELL COVER CAP AND METHOD OF USE
A clam shell cover cap device is a lockable closure which fits over existing medication vials used in the pharmacy and medical industries. It comes preset, with a random combination. The combination is marked with an indicator sticker. The clam Shell Cover Cap may be used to lock a vial a medical bottle and the like.
Locking medication containers and methods of use thereof
Methods and systems are described for a medication container that may be locked using a locking mechanism. In one exemplary method, a request from a user may be received by a medication provider for a medication. The medication may be placed in a medication container with a locking mechanism that is operable to lock and unlock the medication container. The medication container may be locked using the locking mechanism. The locked medication container with the medication within may be provided to the user. Subsequent to providing the locked medication container to the user, a request may be received from the user to access the medication in the medication container. A credential may be sent to the user that is usable, via the locking mechanism, to unlock the medication container. The user may then input the credential into the locking mechanism to unlock the medication container and access the medication therein.
Tamper-resistant container with unique identity authentication and network-enabled security features
The present invention is that of a tamper-resistant container of durable material and structure. In certain embodiments, the container is configured to include power source, such as a battery rechargeable via provided uniform serial bus (USB) port, which powers a unique user identity authentication sensor, such as a fingerprint scanner, in combination with a vibration sensor to detect movement. The user identity authentication and vibration sensors communicate with a provided computer software application via application program interface such as may be installed on a computer, preferably a smartphone. Short message service (SMS) text messages may provide tamper alerts, and a system comprising the software application may enable remote locking and unlocking, access and approval, as well as updates and reminders related to the administration of contents such as prescription medications. The methods disclosed herein provide for secure access to medications, temper prevention and improved compliance, tracking and data collection.
Lockable medicine container and methods
A lockable medicine container includes a canister having a closed bottom end, an opposite top end defining an access opening, a surrounding wall between the bottom end and the access opening, and an interior volume within the surrounding wall. A radially inwardly extending ledge protrudes from the surrounding wall along at least a portion of a perimeter of the access opening. A lid is removably covering the access opening on the top end. A locking ring is rotatably and non-removably secured to the lid and is rotatable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The locked position is when the locking ring is engaged with the ledge to prevent removal of the lid from the canister. The unlocked position is when the locking ring is disengaged from the ledge to allow removal of the lid from the canister. A lock member is connected to the locking ring to permit selectively moving the locking ring between the locked position and unlocked position.
MEDICATION COMPLIANCE METHODS, DEVICES, AND SYSTEMS
Provided herein are medication tracking and securement devices, systems, platforms, and methods configured to be used with or in place of commercial standard medicine bottles. The wireless tracking and communications elements of the present disclosure are configured to prevent medication theft, overdosing, medication loss, and prescription noncompliance.
Device for deterring abuse of drugs
The present disclosure relates to devices for deterring drug abuse and methods thereof. More particularly, the disclosure relates to devices for deterring drug abuse by using physical deterrents and/or deterrent substances, including a mechanism that releases a deterrent substance when improper access of the drug is attempted, and methods thereof.
PRESCRIPTION ADMINISTRATION CART
Prescription administration system for administering prescriptions to a plurality of patients. One embodiment provides a prescription administration system including a medication tray having a plurality of prescription boxes. Each of the plurality of prescription boxes is configured to receive a plurality of medications corresponding to a single administration time. The prescription administration system also includes an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to receive, via a user interface, a selection of an administering unit and identify a prescription box corresponding to the administering unit from the plurality of prescription boxes. The electronic processor is also configured to receive identification information of a patient and determine whether the identification information of the patient corresponds to the prescription box. The electronic processor is further configured to provide an indication when the identification information of the patient corresponds to the prescription box.
