Lariat device and method of manufacture
Methods and systems for ropes used to catch livestock such as a cattle roping lariat. In one embodiment, the lariat includes a set of strands, each strand including a set of yarns surrounding a central core. The set of strands are twisted to form a twisted rope. The lariat is manufactured using a set of components including a head box, a tree-cross box with a branched strand tree device and a cross device, and a tail box.
High strength small diameter fishing line
Elongated bodies made from high tenacity polyolefin fibers are provided that are useful as fishing lines, and processes for making the lines. Fibers having tenacities of at least 39 g/denier are braided and fused together to form braided bodies having very small diameters.
Longitudinal Element, in Particular for a Traction or Suspension Means
A longitudinal element produced with a core made of high-strength fibers and at least one metal casing, preferably steel, surrounding this core. In this way, there is the significant advantage that these high-strength fibers, which are very lightweight in relation to their strength, are protected in a number of ways, namely against humidity, moisture, UV light and other environmental influences. In addition, the metal casing provides the fibers with protection against transverse loads. In this way, all the high-strength properties of the traction or suspension means are maintained over a sustained period
Bale identification assembly for binding an identification tag to a bale of agricultural crop material
A bale identification assembly has a binding material with identification tags at spaced intervals is used by a knotter system to bind a formed bale. A read module with an antenna transmits interrogator signals and also receives authentication replies from identification tags. The bale identification assembly has a bale drop sensor with a paddle. As a completed bale passes through the discharge chute, the completed bale interacts with the paddle causing the bale drop sensor to activate. Activation of the bale drop sensor activates the antenna for a specified active cycle, and during its active cycle, the read module assigns any identification tag that is sensed to the completed bale that is leaving the discharge chute. A controller receives information from at least one crop sensor and/or bale sensor and associates the information about the completed bale with the identification tag on the completed bale.
BINDING MATERIAL WITH IDENTIFICATION TAG FOR A BALE OF AGRICULTURAL CROP MATERIAL
A binding material for binding a bale (14) of crop material has bale (14) identification tags (62) used to identify properties of the bale (14) that is bound by the binding material. The binding material (52) includes at least one strand of a non-identifying filament and one strand of an identifying filament incorporating the identification tag (62). The non-identifying filament and the identifying filament are wound together before the binding material (52) is used to bind the bale. The identifying filament has an RFID inlay having conducting wires of an antenna connected to an RFID chip, with the length of the inlay between 10 and 24 cm. The RFID inlay comprises a segment of the identifying filament with adjacent RFID inlays spaced along the identifying filament at a desired interval. The identifying strand incorporating the RFID inlay is wound during a binding material production process with the at least one non-identifying filament into a single twine strand.
Fly fishing line and method for manufacturing same
The present disclosure is to a fly fishing line and a method of making a fly fishing line. The method includes preparing a composition comprising a polymer resin, a co-polymer of silicone, and one or more other polymeric materials. The method includes applying the composition around an elongated core. The method also includes exposing the composition to conditions that form a coating around the elongated core thereby forming the fly-fishing line. The composition is a plastisol composition and the polymer resin is a polyvinyl chloride resin. The fly fishing lines include an elongated core a coating disposed around the elongated core. The coating comprises a polymer resin, a co-polymer of silicone, and one or more other polymeric materials.
ROPE FOR TRAWL NETS WITH HIGH-STRENGTH EYE-SPLICE
A rope for trawl nets having a high-strength eye-splice comprises an eye portion made of an HMPE material and tied round the end of the rope; a first fixing member preventing the eye portion from unraveling; an HMPE splice portion formed in a splice manner and having an outside and an inside that comprise HMPE, respectively; an HMPE sheathed strand portion in which a basic rope is interpolated inside, and strands of an HMPE material are woven in a blade manner on the outside of the basic rope; a second fixing member located at the end of the HMPE sheathed strand portion and capable of fixing the HMPE sheathed strand portion so that it does not come loose; and a basic rope portion comprising a general PE material.
Removably engageable rope guard
A rope severing guard is engageable around a rope or flexible member to protect it from severing by a chainsaw cutting chain. The guard has a flexible body having a rope passage through which a protected rope is positioned. An interior cavity in the body of the rope severing guard is filled flexible fibers which if contacted by a moving cutting chain of a chainsaw, will form clogging engagements with the cutting chain and the chain support it moves upon or with the cutting chain and the motor drive gear powering it.
ROPE ASSEMBLIES
A rope assembly comprises a rope, wherein the rope comprises a plurality of braided or twisted strands. The rope assembly also comprises an attachment structure formed of a polymer. The attachment structure defines an opening through the rope between the strands. The strands are fixedly held in the attachment structure by being encased within the polymer.
RENEWABLE NATURAL FIBER FISHING LINE
The disclosure provides embodiments of an environmentally friendly fishing line that includes renewable natural fibers, and in some embodiments the disclosed fishing line optionally includes an environmentally friendly renewable natural coating. Some of the embodiments of the disclosed fishing line include, for example, a single strand line, or a braided or plaited line made from multiple threads, strands or yarns. Other embodiments of the disclosed fishing line are degradable over a predetermined timeline. These embodiments are preferred because of the low environmental impact of the disclosed fishing lines when compared to, for example, well known synthetic polymer fishing lines.
