HYBRID CORD AND TYRE WITH SUCH CORD
A tyre for vehicle wheels comprises a support structure and a tread band arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the support structure. The support structure comprises a plurality of hybrid reinforcing cords (10) each having a plurality of monofilament textile wires (20) twisted to at least one multifilament textile yarn (30). In any cross section of the hybrid reinforcing cord (10), at least one portion of at least one monofilament textile wire (20) of said plurality of monofilament textile wires (20) defines a first radially outer surface portion of the hybrid reinforcing cord (10) and at least one portion of said at least one multifilament textile yarn (30) defines a second radially outer surface portion of the hybrid reinforcing cord (10).
Two-layer multi-strand cords having very low, low and medium moduli
A two-layer multi-strand cord (60) comprises an internal layer (CI) of the cord made up of J>1 internal strands (TI) and an external layer (CE) of the cord made up of L>1 external strands (TE). HIGH STRENGTH WIRE
Ultra-High-Strength (UHS) wires are suited to high strength wire, strands, cables and rope applications including robotics force transmission and other high-performance mono- and multifilament wire applications. The wires exhibit high strength, low stretch and fatigue durability. Exemplary UHS materials include binary molybdenum-rhenium or tungsten-rhenium alloys with between 20 and 50 wt. % rhenium. These alloys are processed from a moderate strength (<2 GPa) warm-drawn rod to drawn monofilament wire with extreme nanocrystalline grain refinement, high apparent fatigue durability, and ultimate strength levels exceeding 5 GPa in all cases, and up to 6.8 GPa at monofilament diameters ranging from 7 to 100 μm.
Steel cord for rubber enhancement and manufacturing method therefor
The steel wire for the steel cord of the present invention includes a plating layer of Cu-M-Zn (M is one or two elements of Co, Ni, Cr, Mo, Al, In, or Sn) and has a concentration gradient in which the M content ratio in a region from the surface to ¼ of the plating layer is 40% or more compared with the M content ratio in the entire region of the plating layer, and the steel cord for rubber reinforcement is obtained by a manufacturing method comprising: performing sequential plating on a surface of a steel wire in the order of Cu.fwdarw.M.fwdarw.Zn; performing a primary diffusion, for concentration gradient of M, by subjecting the sequentially plated steel wire to high-frequency induction heating using 1-500 MHz; and performing a secondary diffusion, following the primary diffusion, by medium-frequency induction heating using 10-500 KHz.

A two-layer multi-strand cord (60) comprises an internal layer (CI) of the cord made up of J>1 internal strands (TI) and an external layer (CE) of the cord made up of L>1 external strands (TE). DOUBLE-LAYER MULTI-STRAND CABLE HAVING IMPROVED BENDING ENDURANCE
The invention relates to a multi-strand cord (50) comprising an internal layer (CI) of the cord made up of K=1 three-layer (C1, C2, C3) internal strand (TI), with the internal layer (C1) being made up of Q internal metallic threads (F1), the intermediate layer (C2) being made up of M intermediate metallic threads (F2) and the external layer (C3) being made up of N external metallic threads (F3), and an external layer (CE) of the cord made up of L>1 three-layer (C1′, C2′, C3′) external strands (TE) wound around the internal layer (CI) of the cord, with the internal layer (C1′) being made up of Q′ internal metallic threads (F1′), the intermediate layer (C2′) being made up of M′ intermediate metallic threads (F2′) and the external layer (C3′) being made up of N′ external metallic threads (F3′).

A cord (50) comprises a single layer (52) of helically wound metal filamentary elements (54). The metal filamentary elements define an internal enclosure (58) of the cord of diameter Dv. Each metal filamentary element (54) has a diameter Df and a helix radius of curvature Rf. With Dv, Df and Rf being expressed in millimetres, the cord satisfies the following relationships: 9≤Rf/Df≤30 and 1.30≤Dv/Df≤2.10.
TYRE FOR VEHICLE WHEELS
A tyre for vehicle wheels comprises a support structure and a tread band arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the support structure. The support structure comprises a plurality of hybrid reinforcing cords (10). Each of the hybrid reinforcing cords (10) has at least two strands (20) twisted together with a predetermined twisting pitch. Each of said at least two strands (20) comprises at least one monofilament textile wire (21) and at least one multifilament textile yarn (22) comprising a plurality of textile filaments (22a). In any cross section of the hybrid reinforcing cord (10), said at least one monofilament textile wire (21) is at least partially embedded in the filaments (22a) of said at least one multifilament textile yarn (22).

The present invention provides a tire that uses an elastomer-metal cord composite, which composite is obtained by coating metal cords with an elastomer, each metal cord being composed of a bundle of metal filaments arranged without being twisted, and which composite is capable of highly improving the performance of the tire. The above-described tire is a tire (100) including a belt (105) which includes at least two belt layers (105a) and (105b). In this tire, the belt layers (105a) and (105b) are each obtained by coating metal cords (2) with an elastomer (3), each metal cord (2) being composed of a bundle of a plurality of metal filaments (1) arranged in a row without being twisted; the metal filaments (1) are shaped, and at least one pair of adjacent metal filaments (1) in the metal filaments (1) have different phases from each other; each of the belt layers (105a) and (105b) has a thickness of more than 0.30 mm and less than 1.00 mm; and the distance in the tire radial direction between the metal cords (2) in the two adjacent belt layers (105a) and (105b) is 0.10 mm or more and 1.20 mm or less, at the center of the tire.
Steel cord for reinforcing rubber article, method for manufacturing same, and tire
Provided is a multi-twisted steel cord for reinforcing a rubber article, the steel cord having cord strength with a small loss as compared to the total strength of filaments constituting the cord and a high rubber penetration. The steel cord includes a plurality of twisted strands in a multi-twisted structure, each strand including a plurality of twisted filaments in two or more layers, in which at least some of the filaments have a tensile strength of 3,000 MPa or more, the steel cord satisfying a filament occupancy of 48% or more and less than 54%, a cord twist angle of 78° or more and less than 84°, an average crossing angle between adjacent filaments other than wrapping filaments of less than 17°, and a gap between adjacent sheath filaments constituting the strand of 0.065 mm or more.
