Lyophilization Bag
A lyophilization bag is provided herein for containing a solution in a lyophilizer during lyophilization. The lyophilization bag includes a body having a flexible base member, and a flexible top member. The base member and the top member, collectively, at least partially encompass an interior volume of the body. A first portion of the interior volume is defined between at least portions of the base member and a reference plane located spaced from the at least portions of the base member, the first portion of the interior volume defining a volume corresponding to the initial volume of the solution. A second portion of the interior volume is defined between the reference plane and at least portions of the top member. At least one port defining an opening is in communication with the second portion of the interior volume.
Simulated breast feeding system
The breastfeeding device present in the invention, simulates natural breastfeeding experience and delivers fluid, milk or infant formula to the nursing infant in a contactless or latch free manner than any prior art in this field. This device integrates physical sensors to the breastfeeding device and includes a neck strap, refillable housing chamber that contains fluid, a tubing that connects the housing chamber to a prosthetic nipple via a sealing attachment and a prosthetic nipple for infant latching to nurse. The invention is a notable step forward in creating an effective, safe and contactless nursing which mitigates and prevents bruised, sore nipples or engorged breasts.
Cover for a container for receiving an enteral nutrition solution
Disclosed is a cover for a container for receiving enteral nutrition solutions, having a thread which can be brought into engagement with a mating thread of a container for receiving an enteral nutrition solution in order to cover an opening in the container for receiving the enteral nutrition solution, and having a connection piece for the connection of a hose line. An opening device having a first part connected to the cover in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner and having a second part which is permanently connected to the first part is arranged on an inner side of the cover. In a starting state of the opening device, the second part of the opening device is fixed to the first part of the opening device by a fixing element and, in an opening state of the device, is movable relative to the first part of the opening device.
TELESCOPIC SUPPORT POLE FOR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
A telescopic IV and feeding bag pole is disclosed herein. The miniature telescopic IV or feeding bag support pole is configured for children. The support pole includes a telescopic central post with bag holding arms, and a wheeled base with a plurality of casters. The wheeled base includes an H-shaped base member having two parallel supports which are perpendicular mounted to a central support rod. Each of the two parallel supports include castor wheels to allow a child to easily transport the IV pole. The telescopic central post is then mounted onto the central support rod. Furthermore, the telescopic central post has an opening at a top end which receives the holding arms. The holding arm is telescopically adjusted from the telescopic central post to provide the optimal height for a user.
HINGED BLINDING SHELL FOR HANGING A VIAL AND RELATED METHODS
A vial blinding assembly includes a vial having a stopper with a needle penetrable septum that is aligned with a compartment of the vial. A blinding shell has an interior surface that bounds a cavity, the vial being disposed within the cavity. The blinding shell includes: an encircling sidewall extending between a first end and an opposing second end; a shield wall inwardly projecting from the first end of the sidewall and encircling an access opening, the access opening communicating with the cavity of the blinding shell and being aligned with the septum of the stopper; and a floor inwardly projecting from the second end of the sidewall so as to block access to the cavity at the second end, wherein the blinding shell comprises a first shell portion and a second shell portion that are hingedly coupled together. In one embodiment, a hanging tab outwardly projects from the floor of the blinding shall and has a mounting hole extending therethrough.
BODILY FLUID DRAINAGE ASSEMBLY
A bodily fluid drainage assembly can include a fluid bag and one or more covers. The assembly can include one or more volume indicators from which an approximate volume of a bodily fluid that is retained within the be can be ascertained. In some arrangements, a cover includes a volume indicator that defines an opening through which a transparent or semitransparent portion of the bag can be viewed.
Anaerobic Blood Storage Containers
A blood storage container for the anaerobic storage of blood, having enhanced sealing methods and materials for the preservation of stored blood is provided.
MULTI-MIX INFUSION BAG
A multi-mix infusion bag is provided. The multi-mix infusion bag includes a lower portion and an upper portion. The lower portion has a lower chamber and the upper portion includes a plurality of chambers. Each chamber is separated and contains a fluid agent. The multi-mix infusion bag is configured to transfer each fluid agent within each chamber of the upper portion into the lower chamber for mixing. The multi-mix infusion bag may include dispensing devices associated with each chamber, wherein the dispensing devices operate to transfer the fluid agents into the lower chamber for mixing.
FLEXIBLE CONTAINER FOR STORAGE AND TRANSPORT OF BIOPHARMACEUTICALS
A storage bag (100) for storing, transporting, freezing, and thawing biopharmaceuticals includes a collapsible pouch (102) including an internal volume and an aperture; a non-collapsible port assembly (114) with a body, a snout (118) extending from the body into the pouch through the aperture, and at least one conduit (120A-C); and a reinforcing laminate (108) surrounding the port assembly and the end of the collapsible pouch including the aperture. At least one peripheral cavity (124A, 124B) is adjacent to a portion of the port assembly and extends from the aperture to at least one conduit so the conduit is in fluid communication with the internal volume through the peripheral cavity. The size of the peripheral cavity can be adjusted to control the volume of fluid trapped between the collapsible pouch and the non-collapsible port assembly, and as such this area advantageously experiences limited expansion during freezing.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPENING A CONCENTRATE CONTAINER AND CONNECTING THE CONCENTRATE CONTAINER TO A BLOOD TREATMENT DEVICE
The present invention refers to a system and method for opening a concentrate container without the need for a human to directly handle the concentrate container and connecting the concentrate container to a blood treatment device. Aspects of the invention are directed to a container for concentrate and a blood treatment device.
