Woven irrigation tubing, apparatus and method of making same
11674619 · 2023-06-13 ·

Woven irrigation tubing comprises a woven, extrusion coated & laminated tube formed of a high density polyethylene (HDPE) outer layer, a low density polyethylene (LDPE) middle layer and a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) inner layer. The finished tubing is treated for ultraviolet resistance. The tubing is tied off at a distal end with a proximal end connected to a pressurized irrigation source. Watering holes are created in the tubing at spaced intervals and the resulting water streams are directed into parallel plowed furrows. The tubing is completely recyclable. The tubing is formed by manufacturing tape for the woven outer tubing cover, stretching the tape along its length to strengthen it, weaving the outer layer from the tape, flattening the woven outer layer, extrusion coating each surface of the outer layer with LDPE, laminating the LLDPE inner layer to the LDPE, reversing and winding the tubing for storage and distribution.

A non-woven fabric board for an exterior of a vehicle and a method for manufacturing same are provided. The non-woven fabric board includes a matrix fiber having a non-circular cross-section and an adhesive fiber having a non-circular cross-section, and the matrix fiber is included in an amount of 50 wt % or greater based on the total weight of the non-woven fiber board. Each of the matrix fiber and the adhesive fiber have a linear density of about 6 to 15 denier and a degree of non-circular shape of about 1.3 to 3.0.

The non-woven fabric board for an exterior of a vehicle has a substantially increased specific surface area by using the non-circular cross-section fibers, improved adhesion efficiency between fibers, and substantially improved mechanical properties. In addition, heat moldability thereof is improved, weight thereof is reduced, and the sound-absorbing performance thereof is substantially improved.

POLYOLEFIN PELLET FOR PREPARING FIBER AND FIBER COMPRISING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a polyolefin pellet for preparing a fiber, and a fiber comprising the same. According to the present invention, provided is a polyolefin, which exhibits a high molecular weight range and a narrow molecular weight distribution and in which the formation of a gel deteriorating the quality of a fiber is reduced. Therefore, by using the polyolefin pellet, the present invention exhibits a molecular weight, a density and a narrow molecular weight distribution, which are equivalent to those of conventional polyolefin, but has high tenacity and an excellent drawing characteristic and can be highly oriented because gel formation is reduced, and therefore, the present invention can be applied to various industrial products due to a high draw ratio and crystallinity during a multifilament operation using the same.
