Impregnated cloth
A knitted spacer fabric has a tightly knitted bottom layer, a more loosely knitted upper layer and linking fibres extending across the space between the lower and upper faces. Settable material, e.g. cement, is introduced into the space between the upper and lower faces and can be caused to set by the addition of a liquid, e.g. water. Until set, the fabric is flexible and can be shaped but after the material in space has set, the fabric is rigid and can be used as a structural element in a wide range of situations. The bottom layer has an extension that extends beyond the upper face and is connected to the upper face by elastic connecting fibres that draw the extension towards the other face, thereby at least partly closing the space at the edge of the cloth and preventing the settable material from spilling out. In addition, the packing of the settable material and maximum space between the faces are such that only a predetermined amount of liquid can be accommodated within the space and that amount is matched to the water required to set the cement.
Warp-knitted spacer fabric
A spacer fabric has two textile layers and spacer yarns that transversely connect the textile layers and where the yarns forming the textile layers are composed exclusively of a nonmetallic material. In addition, at least a first portion of the spacer yarns is composed of metallic yarn, and a weight of all metallic spacer yarns is between 40 and 96% relative to the total weight of the spacer fabric.
Knitted tissue scaffolds
Staple cartridge assemblies for use with surgical stapling instruments and methods for manufacturing the same are provided. Scaffolds for use with a surgical staple cartridge and methods for manufacturing the same are also provided.
Three-dimensional reinforced membrane
A three-dimensional reinforced membrane is designed to be inflated and used in various structural applications. A dropstitch or double wall fabric may be reinforced with one or more coatings, such as urethane-based coatings, and may also be laminated in accordance with various disclosed embodiments.
Breathable item of clothing and breathable insert for items of clothing
A breathable item of clothing and a breathable insert for items of clothing, the item of clothing includes an external enclosure, the surface of which has at least one opening for evacuating perspiration in the vapor phase in an upper region of the item of clothing, a breathable external covering having a structure for the external retention of water, impurities or others, an internal layer to be directed toward the body of the user of the item of clothing, forming an interspace due to the spacing of the external covering from the body of the user, for the passage of perspiration in the vapor phase, produced by the body and channeled within the interspace, to the external covering. The external covering, structure for external retention of water, impurities or others, and the internal layer are placed in a breathable preassembled insert.
Tubular Warp Knit Spacer Fabric
A warp knitting system may knit a seamless tube of fabric. The fabric may have a spacer between outer and inner fabric layers. The knitting system may have first and second needle guide systems. The first and second needle guide systems may each have selectively linked needle bed sections that guide respective needles. A guide bar system may have guide bars that dispense strands of material during knitting. Each guide bar may be positioned using a respective guide bar positioner. The guide bar system may be shifted relative to the needles using a rotational positioner. The needle guide systems and guide bar system may be formed from selectively coupled links. The selectively coupled links may be configured to adjust the diameter of the tube of fabric to a desired value. The thickness of the tube may be adjusted by adjusting a gap between the first and second needle guide systems.
BIDIRECTIONAL LOW TEARING STRENGTH SPACER TEXTILE USING WARP KNITTING
The present invention relates to a bidirectional low tearing strength spacer textile using warp knitting, more particularly, relates to a spacer textile comprising a surface textile layer, a rear surface textile layer, and a spacer thread connecting the textile layers, wherein the surface textile layer and the rear surface textile layer include a main thread provided with a plurality of open loops formed with openings in a longitudinal direction.
Fabric sensing device
A touch-sensitive textile device that is configured to detect the occurrence of a touch, the location of a touch, and/or the force of a touch on the touch-sensitive textile device. In some embodiments, the touch-sensitive textile device includes a first set of conductive threads oriented along a first direction, and a second set of conductive threads interwoven with the first set of conductive threads and oriented along a second direction. The device may also include a sensing circuit that is operatively coupled to the first and second set of conductive threads. The sensing circuit may be configured to apply a drive signal to the first and second set of conductive threads. The sensing circuit may also be configured to detect a touch or near touch based on a variation in an electrical measurement using the first or second set of conductive threads.
Upper for an article of footwear with at least one strand for lasting
The present disclosure provides a knitted component, the knitted component with a knit element that forms at least a portion of an upper for an article of footwear and defines an interior void for receiving a foot. A lower perimeter edge of the knit element may extend between a lateral side and a medial side of the upper. At least one strand of the knitted component may extend through the lower perimeter edge on opposite sides of the knitted component so as to extend between the lateral side and the medial side of the upper. The knitted component may be formed on a knitting machine, and the at least one strand may be configured to be tensioned to tighten the upper around a last.
KNITTED TISSUE SCAFFOLDS
Staple cartridge assemblies for use with surgical stapling instruments and methods for manufacturing the same are provided. Scaffolds for use with a surgical staple cartridge and methods for manufacturing the same are also provided.
